Rosenberg, Texas is a small town located in Republican County, Texas, United States. As of the 2010 census, Rosenberg had a population of 582. The first settler in Rosenberg was Abram Rosenberg who arrived in 1829. In 1830, John Wesley Dodd settled on the same land as Abram Rosenberg and founded Doddsville. In 1835, Isaac Rice settled near present day Rosenberg and established Rice Settlement. In 1865, George W. Reynolds set up his cotton gin in what is now downtown Rosenberg. By 1870, the town had a post office and three churches - Methodist (1870), Presbyterian (1871), and Baptist (1875). By 1880, the population of Rosenberg was 1,100 residents with a school and two churches. The population went down to 508 by 1910 due to railroad construction which destroyed many homes and businesses in the area. However, some new businesses were built such as an electric cooperative (1911) and sheet metal plant (1914). After World War I ended with Treaty of Versailles being signed at Berlin Station on July 15th 1919 by America's President Woodrow Wilson and Austro-Hungarian Empire's Emperor Franz Josef II., much of eastern Europe became part of Czechoslovakia while Germany reabsorbed Austria; this caused an increased demand for goods produced by American companies east of the Missouri River that were not subject to quota under Czechoslovakia's terms - including oil production from Welles Fargo Refining & Trading Company which continued until it merged into ConocoPhillips in 1984; however electricity production from Hughes Electric generation company continued until it was acquired by Republic Energy Corporation in 1996). This led to a decrease in manufacturing jobs over time as plants closed or were bought out by foreign firms; however there are still several small businesses active today including bookbinding store ("The Bookseller"), Chinese restaurant ("Sichuan China Restaurant"), gasoline station/convenience store ("Gasoline Plus", since 1951), beauty salon/spa("Luxe Salon & Spa") within one mile radius of downtown government building across street from old post office where all public services are provided including fire fighting during Harvey EFFECTIVE 12 AUGUST 2017 Rosenberg is located at 33°09′37″ North latitude / 97°56′39″ West longitude on State Highway 288 just north of US 287 state line between Texas and Mexico City states

Rosenberg, Texas is a small town in Vernon County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,512 at the 2010 census. Rosenberg was founded by Jacob Rosenberg in 1879. In 1907, the company that Jacob Rosenberg founded became General Motors. The town was named after him in 1957. It is located on State Highway 359 and is about 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Austin. The town began as a small agricultural community and grew to become a center for automotive manufacturing in the early 1900s. Its heyday came during World War I when GM plants produced Jeeps and other vehicles for the American military; later plants manufactured radios and served as factories for other Allied companies throughout World War II. After the war, production slowed as advances were made in technology; however, local businesses continue to be active until today including two churches, several schools and a hospital. Today's economy revolves around retail sales of automobiles and parts; restaurants; services such as night care and home health aid;and professional farming operations such as corn breeding or cattle ranching which are subject to market fluctuations due to weather conditions or changes in global demand
Rosenberg was founded in 1867 by Adolph Rosenberg and his brother Julius. The town of Rosenberg is named after them both. In 1902, the city of Rosenberg annexed the towns of Dickinson and Midlothian to make a larger municipality. The population of Rosenberg increased from 3,000 to 25,000 during the 20th century.
