By 1902, only six families lived in Roma: Luigi Pezzi (father), Giovanni Battista Pezzi (mother), Manuela Cicchini (younger sister), Pietro Cesare Anselmi (brother-in-law/uncle); Anna Maria Cicchini (); Lucrezia Di Donato (); Carlo Ciotti (); Vincenzo De Leo (). In 1936, following enactment of the United States Constitution providing for county creation through an act passed by Congress on November 3 that year (), Rome became one of thirteen counties within Llano County,. As a result Of its designation as such by Governor John F Kennedy on March 6th 1962 (.pdf)), Rome began to enjoy increased attention due to its unique history and location within the COUNTY OF LLANO - which has given rise to numerous tourist attractions dating back to Roman times including some still being operated today such as "Roma's Walls," "The Cathedral," "Staatshaus," & "PIAzza San Marco."
