Roma, Texas is located in the Midland region of the United States. It is a small town of about 5,000 people that was founded in 1881. The major industry in Roma is agriculture, with a few businesses used for services such as grocery stores and sheriff's departments. The town has a population of about 3500 people as of 2000. The first gun target in Roma was built by local farmers in 1881. There were no laws regulating firearms at the time, so many guns were sold without permits or licenses. In 1931, there were only three gun targets left in Roma used for shooting competitions and target practice. By 1938, all but one of the guns used for target practice had been destroyed by fire or vandalism. In 1951, Roma had its own airfield which served as a training ground for fighter pilots from nearby Fort Worth Air National Guard Base during World War II. RAF Nimrod aircraft based at RAF Mildenhall would use the field to fly their missions over Europe during the war years. One item that has always been associated with Roma is its post office which was opened on November 1st, 1907. The post office closed on July 31st, 1991 due to budget cuts within the then-new state government of Texas A&M University System Incorporated (T Aggies). On October 3rd, 1991 an AR15 rifle with magazines made it into circulation through mail ballot processes throughout T Aggies campuses when Governor Rick Perry signed Senate Bill 4358 into law making it legal to possess assault rifles and high capacity magazines within universities and other public places including schools and churches across Texas A&M System campuses statewide without prior written notice or consent from campus administrators

Roma, Texas is a small town in the panhandle of Texas, located about an hour and a half west of Dallas. The population was 703 as of the 2010 census. It has been continuously inhabited since at least 1836. In that year, General George Worth founded Roma along the banks of the Trinity River, naming it for his father-in-law, James Hogg. The first European to visit Roma was José de Urrea on July 5, 1836. He sighted what he thought was a herd of white oxen but upon closer inspection realized they were black cows. Since there were no people in Roma at that time, Urrea named the river after José de Urrea himself: Rio Grande del Norte (River of the North). In 1859, Romas railroad station was established on the same site as present day Roma’s post office; this became an important stop for travelers heading east or west from Dallas or Fort Worth. The depot served as a market and general store until 1957 when Amtrak began operating its original Lone Star line between Dallas/Fort Worth and Albuquerque. In 1959 Romas citizens organized their first municipal election which resulted in incorporation into City Council by vote of 4 to 1 with Mayor Wanda Bigham serving as chairperson due to her term being abbreviated by illness at the time. On October 20th 1960 City Manager Clyde Kroll authorized annexation by Fort Worth making Romas one city within Fort Worth limits and also giving it voting rights in City Council meetings pursuant to state law until annexation could be accomplished through referendum under Title 12 Chapter 311A Tex higher education Code unless overruled by City Attorney General. As part of increase infrastructure needs during the early 21st century Rome faced several challenges including budget shortfalls due to dwindling enrollment at local colleges and universities combined with increasing traffic congestion caused by growth within Fort Worth overreach in terms of land reclamation for new shopping malls and other development projects outside city limits—a problem exacerbated during economic recession years when job postings dried up outside major metropolitan areas but increased inside Fort Worth leading some people to dub downtown Ft Worth “Downtown Rome” following similar trends throughout much larger metropolises across North America during that period without corresponding public response or outcry from those living within these metropolises who perceived their community values being increasingly eroded while their own neighborhoods experienced even greater change withouttheir consent or knowledge
