The Roma gun protection history begins with the founding of Roma, Texas in 1865. The town was named after a ranch that belonged to John Pope. When the RR Railroad was built through Roma in 1876, many of the residents left and founded new settlements in nearby Waco, McKinney, and Fort Worth.
