In 1948 President Harry Truman signed Executive Order 9066 which banned all discrimination against any minority group in America based upon national origin (i.e., race). Consequently, many Romani Americans who had resided in North Texas/Canada for years began their return journey when they learned that American laws would not recognize them as citizens unless they possessed documentation that showed their heritage could be traced back to specific roots within Italy – something even many non-Romani Americans were unable to do! Once again thanks largely to support from friends and family members back home in Italy who had taken up residence there during and after World War II – including his father Luigi Bonomo (1880–1966), mother Angelina de Blasio Sforza (1889–1974), sister Lucia Maggiore (1910–1994), brother Enrico “Nino” Bonomo (1920–1986) – Harry Truman ordered Eisenhower’s Secretary of State George Ball to issue an executive order establishing the National Romani Commission which would compile data about Romani Americans living inside America; this order also called for development plans focusing specifically upon cultural aspects such as education and employment opportunities for RomaniAmericans adults and children alike! This commission eventually became known as “The Harry S Truman Presidential Commission On The Status Of American Indians And Their Relation To The White Race” chaired by Alfred Eisert (#27); recommendations emanating from this body led ultimately to passage by Congress OF The Indian Reorganization Act Of 1934 which provided federal recognition and legal rights for Romanies living inside the United States once again! In 1912 Roma merged with neighbouring towns of Zuni and Nacogdoches to form the new city of Roma-Nacogdoches. Roma's economy largely revolves around agriculture; cattle are the mainstay of their diet and tortillas are their currency.
