Rockwall is a small town in Cameron County, Texas, United States. It was founded in 1875 and has been the seat of government for Cameron County since 1907. The population was 4,047 at the 2010 census. In 1897, Rockwall became part of the new municipality of Waco; however, it reverted to its original name in 1951. Today, Rockwall is one of two towns in Cameron County that remain unincorporated (the other being Pearsall). The first guns were brought overland from Missouri by a band of settlers called the "Cowboys" in 1875. The first store in Rockwall opened on Valentine's Day 1776. George Hinkle built the first post office here and named it Hinkleville after himself and his father-in-law Amos Kendall. A log courthouse was built here in 1881 but it burned down within months. A new courthouse was built and dedicated on May 3, 1886 by then-Mayor John Sorenson with help from Governor James Lubbock. In 1898, Waco became an incorporated municipality; however, it reverted to its original name on September 1st that year when all other municipalities within Cameron County changed their names to honor Governors James Bowie (1894–1912) and Edwin Edwards (1912–1926). On October 5th of that year residents voted to change their city’s name back to Rockwall after voting overwhelmingly against incorporation into anything larger than a single village form they had experienced before. At this time only men could vote so women did not gain citizenship until 1978 when she passed a municipal ordinance allowing them to do so. In 1951 Rock Wall became one of two towns within Cameron County that remained unincorporated due to lack of support from either the county or town officials alike; however as time went on more things beganto change such as annexation by neighboring counties which ultimately led to the current situation where both towns are considered part of Rockwall City Limits despite having no connection whatsoever with each other aside from their common location within Cameron County

Rockwall is a town in Medina County, Texas, United States. The population was 9,829 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land Combined Statistical Area. Rockwall was founded in 1881 by James and Anna Hite as a farmers' colony on land that would later become Rockwall Township. The name "Rockwall" comes from a term used to describe a natural fortress or barrier in this area: "the wall of rock". In 1906, the Rockwall School District was created, which included (at that time) all of Medina County. A new school building was built near Center Street and Elm Road in 1907; it remained in use until 1951 when it was replaced by an addition to Parkland Middle School. In 1971, Rockwall became one of six municipalities within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex when it amalgamated with other nearby towns including Garland, Mesquite, Plano, Richardson and Waco. At that time there were 11 municipalities within the metropolitan area. According to the 2000 US Census there were 8,916 people living in Rockwall Township; 3% who lived below poverty line and 10% who were minority groups such as Hispanics or African Americans over 25%. Asrock Elementary School serves students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade while Parkland Middle School provides instruction from ninth through 12th grades along with access to after-school programs for students not currently attending school. According to 2016 federal census data released by the US Census Bureau , only 6%, or 1 out of every 10 residents*, living within 5 miles (8 km) of any airport had a bachelor's degree or higher education level - making Rockwall one of Texans most rural areas*. *This statistic has since changed

Eventually, all types of ammunition became available in gun magazines, which allowed users to shoot more accurately with their firearms. Rockwall is a town in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,946 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Worth–Arlington metropolitan area. The Rockwall Volunteer Fire Department serves as its primary fire department and was founded in 1872. The first permanent settler in what is now Rockwall was Hiram A. Ballard who arrived on December 17, 1847 from Illinois with his family. He set up a log cabin on the east side of Prairie Creek and named it "Ballard's Bluff." In 1849, he married Sarah Jane Wolk (1809-1892). They had four children: John F., James Otis Ballard (1851-1936), Alice Lillian Ballard (born 1865) and Hiram A., Jr. (1871-1937). Hiram A.'s death occurred in 1907 while he was serving as mayor of Fort Worth; his son Hiram A., III succeeded him as mayor. In 1872, when voting opened for election to become a city in Tarrant County, petitions were circulated by citizens wanting to form a volunteer fire department to protect their community from fires that were common during the early years of development in what are now Rockwall and other surrounding communities. On October 25th ballot results were received showing that over 60% of residents voted yes on forming the volunteer fire department with only one vote against it! The first meeting was held on November 3rd and elected officers were chosen including Mayor Hagerty with Vice President White serving as recorder/manager; this organization became known as the "Rockwall Volunteer Fire Department" or RVFD for short! The first call to duty came about one year later when an accident occurred near mile marker 6 on I-635 which left two men dead including Captain Rufus Clements who had been driving the truck carrying firefighters back from an emergency response call at Arlington National Cemetery; this led to increased patrols by members of the RVFD along I-635 looking for potential accidents or road hazards that could lead to firefighter fatalities or loss of life. This type of patrols continued until 1988 when all law enforcement activities outside normal work hours began leaving firefighters vulnerable overnight shifts working under high pressure conditions 24/7 !! This type of work schedule continues today with members being available 7 days per week 365 days per year !! These days can be difficult enough without also having to contend withweather conditions which can range from light rain showers lasting only minutes up into full blown thunderstorms!!
Rockwall is a city in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. The population was 7,890 at the 2010 census. It was established in 1879 and named for General James Fenton Rockwall, who commanded a brigade of Texas Volunteers during the American Civil War. The community has since developed into a large metropolitan area with over 100,000 residents.Located on the eastern edge of Hudspeth County and just northeast of Amarillo, Rockwall is bordered by Slaughtertown to the east and Haskell to the west and its downtown district is located within the limits of both cities. The first mention of Rockwall can be found in 1879 when General James Fenton Rockwall celebrated his birthday there. He had been born in 1825 in Mobile County, Alabama and fought in wars against Mexico before coming to Texas as part of an army under General Sam Houston. In 1876, he became brigadier general after leading successful actions at San Jacinto and Alamo Hill. In 1886 he became lieutenant colonel commandant (later colonel) of the 1st Brigade Texan Volunteer Infantry Regiment stationed at Fort Worth before retiring from service that year with rank of major general. In 1925 Rockwall established itself as an independent town through annexation by Haskell County; it changed its name to Rockwall two years later when it annexed Hidalgo County too - making it one of twelve counties in Hudspeth County created during Reconstruction following America's Civil War. The growth associated with industrialization brought new jobs opportunities for people living near railroads: sawmills turned out rails used for shipping products all over North America; cotton ginners processed raw cotton into finished items such as nightgowns and underwear; breweries brewed beer that shipped throughout North America; meatpacking plants raised steer or pork ready for market day; restaurants served meals such as chicken-fried steak or fried green tomatoes until prohibition made these foods illegal in 1933). By 1940 only three businesses remained active within what would become known as "The City". Asrock Wall began experiencing heavy development around 1960 when oil production increased due to discoveries offshore (the first well being drilled nearby). ensuing traffic congestion caused many shops/restaurants along Main Street to close their doors between 1961-1966 which led to organized protests led by local citizens including Revkin Antoine who called himself "Mayor Of Rocks wall" until his arrest on trumped up charges resulting from an elaborate grand jury conspiracy sting operation orchestrated by state troopers working undercover inside municipal government institutions across Texas – this event marked one pivot point in rock wall history where local control transitioned from something seen as threat rather than opportunity eventually culminating with incorporation into larger metropolitan areas like Dallas/Fort Worth TX or Austin TX . No less than 12 small business districts were formed throughout The City during this time corresponding closely with oil & gas industry employment patterns while residential neighborhoods continued growing but largely unchanged stilt homes continue dominating skyline view today
