Today agriculture still accounts for much of the economy here; cattle getting milk from local cows or being used for meat production account for most of the production value exported to other states outside Texas. There are also a few grain operations around town as well as apple orcharding (mainly trees used for cider),real estate development (mostly ranch houses), plumbing services, mechanics shops and other services accessible only through out-of-town drives such as I-35W or US 281/I-10 eastward which connect with other nearby townsites (Montgomery county) making up what is generally considered rural America within driving distance of major metropolitan areas like Dallas-Fort Worth or Houston etc., however access limited due to lack of off street parking along main streets most days

Robstown, Texas is a small town in the U.S. state of Texas and part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The population was 5,808 at the 2010 census. It is located in Ellis County on the bluffs overlooking the Trinity River. The first permanent settler in Robstown was James Mizey, who arrived in 1836 and founded a trading post known as "Mizey's Station." Mizey had come from Kentucky via Missouri and Arkansas. He traded with Native Americans along the Trinity River before selling his land to other settlers in 1839-40. By 1840, Robstown had grown to include a hotel, store, blacksmith shop, wagon workshop, and two schools. In 1861, Confederate General Robert Ewell established himself near Robstown after invading Texas during the American Civil War. Ewell's forces burned down many of Robstown's stores and homes before being driven back by Union forces under General John Cavanaugh on July 24th of that year. Aftermath of this battle saw an increase in border raids by Confederate scouts looking for supplies for their troops moving southward into northern Mexico
Robstown was founded in 1847 by Elias Roberson and his family. The town was named for General John Fenton, who fought in the Mexican-American War. In 1870, the population of Robstown was 2,500 people. In 1910, the population of Robstown was 7,000 people. The town experienced a smallpox pandemic in 1920 and 1930.
