The first Holster company to come to town was DeSoto and Associates, which holster maker George DeSoto himself opened up in 1907. After a few years, the business passed away and its assets were sold to Purdy Holsters of Springfield, Kentucky. In 1911, Purdy moved their manufacturing operations from Kentucky to Robstown and continued making holsters there until 1954. During that time period, they also produced the original Texas Tech Pistol Belt holster which is still used by law enforcement today.
Robstown is a small town in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,571 at the 2000 census. The town was founded in 1872 by brothers John and James Robison. It is located on the east side of the Killeen River. The first settlers arrived in what is now Robstown in 1872. They were John and James Robison, brothers from Scotland who had come to America to make their fortune. The Robisons erected a log cabin on the banks of the Killeen River and named their new settlement after their hometown of Robiston, Ayrshire, Scotland. In 1875, they added a second log cabin and began to farm land around it. By 1906, they had built three moreLog Cottages; one on each bank of the river near present-day Interstate 35W and FM 158 (now I-35W/FM 158). In 1915, when US Highway 75 was designated as its original route through Tarrant County, settlers in Robstown petitioned for access to US Highway 75 traffic due to an increase in travel between nearby Fort Worth and Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. On November 10th of that year, President Woodrow Wilson signed legislation allowing for road access within Tarrant County only during certain times of day or for certain purposes such as agricultural operations or public events. On December 2nd of that year (following completion of US 75's bypass around downtown Fort Worth), residents of Robstown voted into existence aelf-governing body known as "The Town Council" under which they could pass ordinances governing all aspects of local life including education, fire safety regulations etcetera. This system continued until 1975 when trustees took over full governance from the town council following passage by Congressional Resolution 910 establishing statehood for Tarrant County!

Robstown is a small community located inCollin County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,848 at the 2010 census. The name of the town is Spanish for "rock formation" and it was named after the Robstown sandstone formations in Collin County. The town was founded in 1874 by Scots-Irish immigrants working on the railroads. The first post office in Robstown was established in 1875, and it served as the only post office in the town until 1907. In 1876, a school was built and opened for students from rural areas east of Dallas. In 1897, a water tower was erected to serve the town. In 1925, Robstown became part of Dallas and had its own government; however, it remained an unincorporated community until 2003 when it became a municipal city with its own government under mayor term limits. In addition to its role as an agricultural center during World War II and afterwards (due toMission San Antonio being located just outside of town), Robstown has also been home to several industrial plants over time including one that manufactured hoses for oil refineries before they were replaced by electronic injection Molding (EIM) processes used today throughout much of North America.
