Today's economy is based on tourism which has led to an increase in jobs throughout the community including those related to running attractions like the Robinson Festival Grounds Park & Rec center which are home to more than 20 performances each year; outdoor concerts at various venues throughout summer months; and special events like 4th Of July fireworks displays from downtown Robinsons location on Main Street which draw nearly 200 spectators annually! The name of the town changed to Wichita Falls on May 5, 1851 after the city of Wichita Falls was founded nearby. In 1880, Wichita Falls became the county seat of Archer County. In 1907, it became the city of Wichita Falls.
