There has been aGun Mags history in Robinson, Texas for over 100 years! The first Gun Mag was started by Zenaida and Harry Smith in 1903. They published the first issue of the now defunct Robinson newspaper, The Ranger.Zenaida and Harry were born in 1906 and 1907, respectively, in what is now the city of Robinson. They both attended high school here before moving to Houston to work as reporters for various newspapers there. In 1966 Zenaida married Jerald Cramer who also worked for The Ranger at that time. Jerald passed away in 2006 but his wife continues to run the business today with her son Jason (Jared) as their sole proprietor/editor-in-chief. The Gun Mag began printing its issues on a weekly basis beginning on October 1st 1903. It had a circulation of just five copies and was printed on newsprint made from recycled paper which cost just $0.25 per week! However, it quickly became an influential publication with its readership consisting mostly of men whoowned firearms or used them frequently during hunting or fishing trips outside of town. Some members even left their homes each week to bring their entire arsenals down to Robinson so they could shoot some game! In 1912 Zenaida and her husband purchased a small printing press located east of town and began printing issues themselves using recycled paper instead of newsprint which helped keep costs low while still providing quality content like artwork, photos, articles... everything you could hope for from an important publication like the Gun Mag! After 10 years they decided it was time to move production westward into new offices adjacent to the local grocery store where they continue publishing until 1976 when they moved again due to increasing competition from other publications including Guns & Ammo magazine which had recently begun publication services out of Austin TX! During this period there were several editorials/columnists who served as authors including Bud Price (1914-1975), Don Gardner (1975-1979), Jerry Jenkins (1979-1981), Tim O’Brien (1981-1985), Bob Weaver (1985-1988), Rick Norvell (1988-1991) and more recently Jimmie Daniels (2011-) all former employees at Guns & Ammo magazine who continue writing content today across multiple platforms including blogs, eBooks, videos etc... essentially continuing the legacy established by Zenaida Cramer & Jerald Cramer back over 100 years ago!

Robinson is a town in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,859 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. Robinson's name comes from James Robinson, who homesteaded there in 1851. The first settler in what would become Robinson was James Robinson, who homesteaded on the now-defunct Rancho de la Bahia near present day Haltom City in 1851. It wasn't until 1870 that another Englishman named John Davenport arrived and built a ranch on about . He also started to buy land around here for farming and called his new community "Robinson". In 1876, an act of the Texas Legislature designated Hudspeth County as an Indian Territory and all male Indians were mustered into service immediately with $2 per week pay. This gave rise to some confusion as many people thought they had actually gone into military service when they really just registered with the government as Indians. Jimmie Rodgers became known as "Indian Joe" because he spent most of his time driving cattle out of this territory. One resident of Robinson during this time was Harry Stephens who ran a general store and post office there from 1889 to 1907. In 1903, Helen Hunt opened her own grocery store in what is now downtown Robinsonsville which continued to prosper until it closed its doors in 1978 due to economic problems within the community itself. Robinson experienced its largest population boom after World War II when many soldiers came through town looking for work and started businesses like grocery stores, auto parts stores and other small businesses that thrived until they too closed their doors during the great Recession of 2008-2009 (although one such business did reopen under new ownership).
