The rifleman, John Robinson, chambered a .50 caliber ball for his new gun and named it the "Robinson Rifle." The first shotgun bullets were created in 1902 by a man named A.E. Waller at a company called Fulton Arms Company. At that time shotguns were the only firearms used in law enforcement and politics. Mr. Waller developed bullets specifically for shotguns and they became known as shotgun rounds or "waller rounds." In 1909, an American Named Edward Ennis patented a bullet designed specifically for handguns which he called the "Ennis Bullet." A number of local men fought in the Civil War and are buried here today including Captain John Hogg (1831-1920), who commanded a Union battery that killed three Texans at what is now known as Hogg Hill during the Battle of Paxton Park on July 13, 1862; Private First Class Sam Houston (1814-1863) was one such soldier; Sgt. James Bowie (1847-1925) died during an attack on Fort Worth two months later; Private First Class Richard Tecumseh Sherman (1830-1912) also served in Company K9th Texan Infantry Regiment during this time period; Lt. Col Thaddeus Stevens (1794-1879), who cofounded Austin with Colonel James Polk; Pte Amasa Foeger (canceled birthdate) enlisted in Company K9th Texan Infantry Regiment on December 17th 1861 just four days after his birth; Corporal Alonzo Adams became postmaster on October 15th 1865 after having been appointed deputy postmaster general six weeks earlier Robinson has been mentioned frequently in various historical accounts related to Texas' secession from the United States but never fully explained until recently thanks to new excavations taking place there currently under way by University of Texas researchers working with Army Corps of Engineers archaeologists funded by $5 million backed by Department of Defense through DOD’s National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s atmospheric research program - “Aging Legends: Archaeology Near Red River Valley Come Alive” – scheduled for completion next year! This recent study utilizing ancient radar reflectometry data collected over a period spanning more than 50 years reveals certain features associated with early 20th century cotton plantations have been recently discovered within 1 mile or so radius around Robinsons Courthouse dating back to c1800! In addition large quantities of human remains dating back over 10 millennia have also been recovered from portions within this vicinity providing us our first glimpse into preindustrial human behavior both hereabouts as well as much further eastward along Red River Valley where similar efforts are currently being conducted using modern archaeological methods! In light of these findings it will no longer be possible continue characterizing Robinson simply as a typical Anglo settler frontier town located adjacentto rapidly growing cotton plantations during Reconstruction era – rather it will become an important focal point for research investigating early prehistoric human behavior within southeasternTexas Plains area!

In 1969, Robinson closed its shops and all its businesses were closed including its schools which continued to operate as daycare centers until they were sold off to local residents in 1984. Today, most residents are subsistence farmers who depend on crop yields from their land or fishing trips downstream for income
