The Battle of Baker Street Station occurred on March 6th when Mexican troops attacked an American military installation south of town. Ladd led an assault that drove the Mexican troops off-road and into ambush position near where he now lives. After this battle, many Texans decided they needed a place to come back home and founded Robinson again
