According to 2008 estimates from "The Harris County Chapter of America's Cities" program report prepared by City data consulting services firm Civitas Research Group LLP., Red Oak has an estimated population growth rate of 3%. This compares unfavorably with Houston's 5% annual growth rate but favorably against Austin's 6% annual growth rate or Dallas' 9% annual growth rate
