Today, RedOak is a thriving community with a diverse history that includes many businesses and organizations including: The United Methodist Church (UMC), American Legion Post #208 (AML), Rotary Club #918 (RCL918), Bluegrass Music Hall & Grill (BHMG), First BaptistChurch (First Baptist) and Corpus Christi Independent School District 181A (Corpus Christi ISD). The city's main shopping district is located near downtown where shoppers can find a variety of retail stores including large national chains such as Macy's and Walmart as well as smaller independent retailers such as JCPenney and Sears Roebuck & Co.. RedOak also has several parks including Elm Park Zoo which offers exhibits on natural history; White Sands Beach which offers access to swimming; Jack Keyes Park which contains tennis courts; Pioneer Plaza Shopping Center which features clothing storesanchorages like Sears Roebuck & Co.; Joe Gibbs Stadiumwhich hosts various sporting events;and Bush Creek Springs State Park which offers hiking/biking trails
