These holsters generally consist of an attachment system similar to a belt loop that goes around your Waistband/ Hipbelt, allowing you easy access to the handgun when not wearing a shirt or dress clothes; however, they often lack any kind of retention system so that the firearm will always stay attached once removed from the holster
One of the earliest holster companies in Plano was the American Leather Horsemen, which opened its doors in 1892. The company produced a wide variety of holsters for horseback Riding and Pistol shooting. In 1924, J.W. "Jim" Neely bought the American Leather Horsemen company and changed its name to Jim Neely & Sons Armory Company. In 1950, the company merged with Armoury-Elkridge Corporation to become one of America's leading firearm manufacturers and distributors. From 1951 until 1976, Jim Neely co-owned Armoury-Elkridge Corporation with his brother John Neely, who also ran the firearms division. In 1976, John Neely passed away and Jim Needy became sole owner and president of Armoury-Elkridge Corporation again. The company continued making high quality pistols under new ownership until it closed in 1984 after producing over 1 million pistols throughout its history.
Plano, Texas is a city in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and one of the most populous cities in the United States. The population was 578,545 as of 2015, making it the fourth-most populous city in Texas and one of its six largest metropolitan areas. Plano was founded on December 15, 1876 by oilman George W. Richardson as a town platted around what is now Preston Road and Elm Street. The name came from Richardson's plan to establish a railroad line through present-day Plano from Fort Worth to Arlington Heights via Plano Lake. The first post office opened in 1880, but never functioned because Richardson died before he could lay out streets and build homes. In 1888, Richardson's widow established the Preston School District No. 1 which later became Plano Independent School District #1. By 1912, when Dallas annexing Irving gave Park her own school district boundaries that extended into central Plano (Mayfield Heights), plans were underway for a new city hall to be built on Elm Street nearDallas Freeway (now Beltline Expressway). The cornerstone for this building was laid on October 14, 1913 by Mayor John Denton with assistance from Colonel James Dickey who donated $5,000 worth of bonds for the project

Plano had its start as a small agricultural town in Central Texas, on the banks of the Trinity River. The community was named for John F. Planter, an early settler who bought land there in 1836. The first post office was established in 1839, and by 1846, Plano had acquired a major mercantile center with stores and businesses such as a bank and flour mill. A sawmill built in 1851 became one of Plano's most important economic assets; it produced lumber and other goods until it closedustry began to take over after World War II. By 1960, Plano had become one of the largest cities in Texas with a population of over 200,000 people.
