Morgan set up shop in Pharr and began to make target pistols with his own pattern. These guns were quickly becoming popular among farmers and hunters throughout the area, as they were reliable and easy to use. By 1907, there had already been several versions of these pistols manufactured by other companies; however, Morgan’s original design remains highly influential today. This type of pistol was known as a “bine” or “bone-handled” Target Pistol because its striking design was inspired by medieval weaponry. It featured two large Bakelite balls (usually green) that could be easily hit with any number of shots from a bow or crossbow. The popularity of these firearms continued to grow through the 1920s until World War II when production ceased altogether due to wartime restrictions on ammunition availability. However, some Bine pistols continue to be produced today under different names and models specific to Texas law enforcement agencies (such as the TXP 9mm). Despite their rarity and antiquity,gun targets continue to be a popular tourist attraction in Pharr thanks largely to their simple design and ease of use - even for those without much experience at shooting!

Gun targets in Pharr, Texas have been a part of American history for decades. The town was founded in 1846 by Captain James Bowie and his son, John Bowie, and has been home to many businesses and residents since then. The town saw its first shooting war in 1851 when Confederate forces threatened to burn down the community. The battle ended with a draw, but the skirmish left two civilians dead and nine wounded. In 1865, Pharr was hit hard by southern secessionists during the American Civil War. Many of its citizens lost their lives as Union soldiers shot at them from rooftops or from behind homes. After the war, Pharr experienced some growth thanks to new businesses and entrepreneurs such as George Waring Jr. In 1875, Waring built the first cotton gin in Texas. It would be centerpiece of local economy until it closed in 1975. Pharr also became famous for its Chilcote Plow Races which took place annually between 1886 and 1901. The races were considered one of the biggest events in Pharr’s history and attracted international attention.
Pharr is a small town located in Williamson County, Texas, about 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Dallas. The population was 1,853 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Pharr was founded by settlers in 1875 as a vaqueros station on what are now Hwy 121 and FM 527. A post office called Pharr was established in 1876, and the town became a rail junction in 1893 when the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway built its line through Williamson County from Georgetown to Midland. The townsite was named for Captain John Farrar of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment who had been killed while trying to cross the Red River during the Mexican-American War. A school was opened in 1903 and a Methodist church followed in 1907. In 1915, Pharr merged with neighboring Slaughterburg to form Slaughterburg-Pharr Consolidated School District No. 2 which still operates today as Slaughterburg Independent School District #2 (SISD 2). The largest employer within SISD 2 is ConocoPhillips which has an oil refinery on I-10 just outside of town limits; it employs over 3,000 people across twelve sites throughout Slaughterburg/Pharr Community College District No. 4; seven schools serving grades pre-K-12; four fire departments including one PTO; two libraries (one public library and one private library); three restaurants (three full service restaurants plus one casual dining restaurant); eleven convenience stores(); six small businesses: four farm equipment dealerships (four agricultural services companies), two truck stops/convenience stores/. In addition to its major employers ConocoPhillips also owns Brushy Creek Ranch State Park which encompasses 821 acres of rolling ranchland bordered by oak forests on the east side oftown limits while Presidio Army Depot located adjacent to I-10 provides warehousing for various military arms dealers as well as other support activities for Fort Hood Army Base across country with more than 1 million barrels per day being handled at this facility alone

They include handguns such as pistols and revolvers, rifles such as infantry carbines or muskets, cannons such as cannonballs or mortar rounds, and artillery pieces like field guns or howitzers. Air-guns were first developed in the 19th century but only became common in the 20th century.
The modern handgun is a descendant of the old muzzle loading gun. In 1847, Nicholas-Jacques Conte designed and built the first practical breechloader gun. The Gunsmiths’ Company of England produced this weapon in response to the British Royal Navy’s demand for more efficient long range artillery. The design was improved by George Stephenson and James Watt, who created the first steam engine capable of firing a projectile over a mile (1 kilometer). Charles Goodyear also developed corduroy tires that made guns more mobile and enabled them to be carried more easily into battle. By 1865, common infantrymen could own rifles that could fire rounds up to 100 yards (91 meters) with good accuracy.
Pharr, Texas is a small town in the southern portion of Texas. The population was 5,643 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, which has a population of over 1 million people. The first person to settle in Pharr was John Denton in 1836. He and his wife, Martha Smith Denton, built a home on what is now Sibley Street near present day Lamar Boulevard. They were among the first white settlers in what would become Dallas County. In 1838, John and Martha bought 640 acres of land from Andrew Jackson Turner for $1 per acre. The Turners had come to Pharr from Harrisonburg, Virginia as traders looking for new land to sell to settlers. In 1840 they built a sawmill and water tower at Nueces River where it still stands today. The settlement grew rapidly due to its strategic location: close to two main rivers and access to transportation routes including the Mexican road that led into Mexico City through San Antonio de Bexar (now Austin). By 1850 Pharr had a store, five homes, four schools and 350 residents. In 1851 Pharr's post office opened under the name "Harrisonburg". It continued serving as such until 1895 when it became "Pharr." In 1860 Charles Goodnight arrived with his family from Illinois via Waco and founded Goodnight's Store at what is now PHARR Road/Highway 183 (the old alignment of SH360), just north of downtown Pharr. Goodnight began selling goods door-to-door throughout central Dallas before opening his own store in 1865 on Main Street between Elm Drive and Commerce Drive near present day UTSA University’s campus south of downtownDallas (Goodnight’s will be buried there beneath UTSA property). Goodnight made an impact not only on Dallas but also nationally as he offered free groceries to anyone who stopped by his store during lunchtime or dinner hours (today this offer still exists). In 1870 he sold all his business interests in Dallas County - including Good Night's Store - to James Crain Sr., one of Dallas' most prominent businessmen and founders of Crain's Restaurants which continues operating today as one of America’s largest food service companies
Pharr is located in the Texas Panhandle and has been a small community since 1881. The population of Pharr was only 976 in 1901, but it grew to more than 2,000 by 1921. In that year, the town hosted its first rodeo. Over time, Pharr became an important center for cotton production in the region. In 1924, Pharr established itself as a city with a population of over 3,000. The city went through several name changes before becoming known as Pharr on July 1, 1951.
