Pflugerville is a small town in Texas. It's located on the south side of the state, about 25 miles north of Austin. The population was 7,882 at the 2010 census. Pflugerville is one of four towns in Williamson County that were established by Texans who came to Texas during the Lone Star State's admission into the United States as a new country in 1845. This group of immigrants followed trails blazed by pioneers and arrived atUVic (now Pflugerville) on October 16, 1845. San Antonio had been founded two years earlier and named for General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, Mexican governor-elect who had come to America to pursue independence from Spain. The town was platted on February 15, 1847 by Smith Wigglesworth and associates under the name "Cameron." That name was changed to "Pflugerville" on March 10th following an election where it was decided that “P” should be capitalized to distinguish it from other community namesakes including “Plummer” (later part of Fredericksburg), “Pope” (later part of McAllen), and even “Poindexter” (a corruption of Poinciana). The first post office opened in Pflugerville on July 1st, 1850. In 1861 Pflugerville became county seat when Williamson County was organized from portions of Travis County. In 1916 Pflugerville lost its seat when Hudspeth County was established; however, it regained it in 1921 when Hudspeth merged with Williamson County. In 1920 residents approved a resolution asking Houston if they would support annexation into their city if Houston ever became an American city; however this offer failed because Houston refused to admit any cities withoutHouston's blessing. In 1951 officials announced plans for construction of Interstate 35W through Williamson County which would have eliminated Pflugsville as a local stop; however this proposal also failed because voters opposed any development that would affect their homes or schools more than 2 miles away from I-35W traffic lanes

Pflugerville is a small town located in north-central Texas. It was founded in 1868 by German immigrants. Pflugerville is the county seat of Tarrant County. The population was 8,562 as of the 2010 census. The first settler in Pflugerville was Johann Friedrich Schrader who arrived in 1868 with his family from Bavaria. He purchased land east of the current town line and built a cabin on what is now Main Street. In 1870, John Kapp bought Schrader's land and erected a log cabin just south of the present day intersection of Elm and Buffalo Streets. The name Pflugerville was given to the new settlement by Nathan Bedford Forrest, then General Commanding United States forces at Fort Worth during the American Civil War. In 1876, Jens Petersen settled in what is now Pflugerville and began operating a sawmill on Buffalo Creek. A year later, he sold his mill to George Hargrave for $2,500 cash and moved his operations to what is now Elm Street near Main Street. At this time, PFLUGERVILLE consisted of only about 15 people living inside a small geographic area that included parts of present day Dallas and Arlington counties as well as part of Bowie County (now Wichita County). In 1888, Harry Cook opened the first grocery store in west Texas when he purchased property northwest of Elm Street between Buffalo Creek Drive and Loop 610 West from George Hargrave. Cook operated his store until 1912 when it closed due to poor health conditions within weeks after opening its doors! By 1915, most residents had left for other towns or counties within Texas because there were no opportunities for economic development within radius around PFLUGERVILLE! Pete Smith started working at Roper’s meat market down State Highway 66 (SH66) about two miles northeast of downtown on Ranch Road 602 (now I-35W) beginning in 1949 soon after World War II ended! From 1951 until 1972 Pete worked at Midland Storage & Manger which became Midland Refrigerated Foods Company before being sold to PepsiCo USA Incorporated in 1976! Midland Storage & Manger reopened under new ownership as ExxonMobil's Houston storage facility known today as "ExxonMobil Center". After years off display due largely to manufacturing plant fires however their closure announced backfired causing much excitement throughout TX when they finally reopened last October - making history once again!!!
Pflugerville was founded in 1881 by John and Julia Fluger. It became a town in 1907. The first post office was opened in 1908. In 1935, Pflugerville incorporated as a city.
