Today’s economy depends heavily on services provided by local businesses such as hospitals, law enforcement agencies and municipalities such as Paris Township government which provide essential services to their citizens including public transportation and infrastructure maintenance assistance programs

Paris, Texas is a small town in the US state of Texas. The population was 1,859 at the 2010 census. Paris was founded by James Doherty in 1867. It is located in Comal County. Paris is named for the city of Paris, France. The town was originally called "Hutchinson". A post office was established in Paris on July 12, 1886, and remained in operation until it closed on October 16, 1984. The first store in town was a general store run by Nita Dixon and her husband John Dixon. In 1905, the first school opened up and served grades one through seven. The school burned down in 1916 but another school was built soon after and servedgrades eight through twelve until it closed again due to financial difficulties in 1978. This left only grade one students attending high school which forced the closure of most businesses and much of the town's infrastructure went away with it including its water system which failed completely while under renovation sometime around that time also leaving Paris without any water resources whatsoever until people found ways to reuse water from local wells etcetera etcetera... Which brings us back to our original question; When did all this happen? Well according to some sources around 1910 when Jim Doherty moved his family from Hutchinson to sell land that he had purchased nearby for what would become Paris he formalized everything with deed (he actually got married there) so that we could officially become a township within Comal County! So basically what we have here is essentially two towns merged together over time as various business owners decided they needed more space or less competition - something that really didn't happen lightly or without consequence! The county courthouse, built in 1889, remains one of the oldest municipal buildings in Texas.
