Pampa, Texas is located in Midland County, Texas. The population was 5,814 at the 2010 census. Pampa is one of the oldest cities in Midland County and has been around since 1851. The city is part of the San Antonio-area metropolitan area. The economy in Pampa is centered around manufacturing and services. In 2009, Pampa was named a "Best Place to Work" by Forbes Magazine. Pampa's location on the Rio Grande makes it an important agricultural center for the region. Rice and corn are two of the most common crops grown in Pampa. Other products include beef, pork, dairy products, flowers, vegetables, and lumber. The city was founded by John Auld on December 8th, 1851 as Villa de Aragón de la Cueva de la Frontera (now known as Pampa). It became a town on July 1st of 1872 when it incorporated as Aragón City Council #2 under Act No 12-A of that year. On November 3rd of 1912 Mayor Manuel Gomez signed an ordinance creating a fire Department and providing for its organization according to Section 2-6-5 of the Municipal Code then existing (the code still applies today). Mr Gomez also authorized building a municipio jail which later became enlarged into what is now Aragón Jail Complex northeast corner Main Street and Third Avenue S., suite 3014F/302E ( Phone: 602-756-6000 ). Finally on January 25th 1915 Mr Gomez vetoed an act passed by City Council #1 appropriating $1,000 from General funds to purchase three sawmills within town limits for use with flour made from local oats shipped into Midland from Wichita Falls . This event helped spur development in downtown Pampa with several businesses opening up including The Fidelity Loan & Trust Company (#3014F), Jardinias Mexican restaurant (#3014G) & Mrs Lopez's bakery (& candy store) both located at Main & Third Avenues S., Suite 4013C between 4th Ave South & Fifth Ave South

Pampa, Texas is a small town located in Ellis County, Texas, near Fort Worth. The population was 1,737 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Pampa was founded by Mormons in 1871 as an agricultural community to supply goods to their Mormon brethren living in Salt Lake City. By 1901, Pampa had become a important stop on the railroad between Fort Worth and Lubbock. The first post office was established in Pampa on December 2, 1871. The name of the town changed from Medina to Pampa in 1872 when it became known as the location for Brigham Young's winter quarters during his trip across America. In 1902, George Waggoner started a grocery store and restaurant called "The Gilded Cage" which became one of Fort Worth's most popular tourist attractions for its fine food and interesting atmosphere. In 1906 the post office moved from Pampa to new facilities built adjacent to The Gilded Cage; these included a theater that played host to many local plays and concerts until it burned down in 1958. A new post office building opened on April 14, 1907 at 5th Street and Independence Avenue; this structure served as home of the current Pampa Post Office until it closed on July 16, 1984 due to budget cuts by then-Governor Ann Richards (D). On October 24, 1920 Hamer Mfg Co donated land north of 4th Street east of IH 10 for what would become North Park Mall; this mall never emerged because of developer problems or other factors such as World War II military activity that disrupted traffic patterns around Fort Worth. In 1951 Western Electric erected a large electric plant with storage capacity for heavy equipment on 15 acres west side of IH 10 just north of 12th Street; this facility would remain active into the 21st century but has been largely dismantled and does not still exist today except for some foundations which are used by cattle ranchers who leased portions of it from Western Electric circa 1980s through 2000s
