The company's production increased tenfold from 1941-1945, during which time it produced over 2 million HCCK kits per year! In addition to munitions production, Orange Mfg.Co.'s other operations included tool and die making; construction materials; engineering services; and fabricated metal products! Following World War II, Orange Mfg.Co.'s manufacturing operations ceased and it was sold to two other companies: American Can Corp./National Can Incorporated (ACN) and United States Steel Corp./United States Steel Corporation (USSC). American Can Corp./National Can Incorporated continued producing HCCK kits under license from their former parent company until 1979 when United States Steel Corporation/United States Steel Corporation discontinued manufacture of all high capacity kit products! Following this discontinuation, all orange county kit manufacturers went out of business! Today there is only one remaining kit manufacturer in Texas - Bantam Aircraft Parts - which produces parts for old school model airplanes!
