In the early 1800s, firearms were not common in Mission, Texas. The reason? Guns were not allowed on public property. However, that all changed when the United States Census was conducted in 1820 and it was discovered that there were over 20 gun shops in Mission. This led to a rise in gun ownership trend throughout the town and eventually lead to the establishment of the first gunTrigger history museum in 1961. Today, there are more than 50 Gun Triggers museums across America, including one located in Mission. They offer exhibits on various aspects of guns and their history from pre-Revolutionary times to today’s firearm industry. Mission is a small town in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,501 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area and it is the county seat of Williamson County. Mission was founded by Father Francisco Martinez in 1836 as an agricultural settlement on Rancho San José de las Flores. In 1881, Mission merged with the adjacent community of Brazoria to form Brazoria County. Mission has been home to various Baptist denominations since its founding, including The Baptist General Convention of America's (BGC) Baylor University School of Missions; First Baptist Church (FBC), which serves as the parish church for Mission; and Christ Episcopal Cathedral/Theological Seminary (CES). The current Bishopric for mission is Michael Curry Outlaw with responsibility for all missions in Texas and Louisiana outside of Texas. Mission's first post office opened on September 8, 1836, with mail service starting from Humble on October 3 that year. By 1840, there were ten mail delivery agencies serving the town with a total population of 2,500 inhabitants. In 1881, Mission merged with neighboring community of Brazoria to form Brazoria County under then-Governor James Kline's attempt to consolidate numerous rural counties into one unit so that they could be ruled more efficiently by a centralized government. With no other county in Texas larger than what now comprises Williamson County - only Harrisburg and Austin proper had more residents - this consolidation caused some ire within the local churchgoers over what felt like an assault on their independence. A few years later came the famous "Granada Massacre" when Mexican soldiers killed eighteen men while raiding ranchos near Granada Viejo in what became known as "the Godfather Incident." This event helped spur anti- consolidation sentiment throughout much of Texans' political leadership during Reconstruction Period (1865-1870). The resulting political turmoil led to several failed attempts at secession during that time period before finally succeeding in 1861 when Governor David Riler designated Brazoria as the new county seat without consultingmission or those living within its boundaries - setting off another round of litigation between BGC and CES over who should control mission operations inside and outside their respective jurisdictions! In 1907 Father Manuel Gomez arrived from Spain to serve as pastor until his death two years later after 17 years spent traveling through many American provinces preaching missions among Spanish speaking populations. He was succeeded by Father Francisco Martinez who served until his death in 1931 also after 17 years ministrying throughout North America taking advantage both technology advancements and international trends such as mass media exposure which made evangelism even easier than ever before possible across languages barriers! It wasn't until 1966 when Rev.[John] Pogue became bishop after being named president emeritus of BGC following Rev.[George] Stringer's retirement due to ill health - marking not only a milestone moment but also a sign that mission growth was continuing unabated despite challenges posed by rapid technological advancement! Prior to that date Missions had seen increasing competition from surrounding communities seeking access toIgnacio Zaragoza Airport located just south west of town & east Of I-10 making travel back & forth increasingly difficult (& expensive) . However despite these disadvantages & occasional setbacks missions continued growing primarily due To Evangelistic Changes brought about BY THE MISSIONARY MOVEMENT itself! In recent decades changes have occurred again however most notably Ctmb[urence] EDUCATION resultant From MARIA JOSEfa LAWRENCE'S LITTLE SISTERS SCHOOLHOUSE project begun in 2015 which eventually leads TO OVER 350 STUDENTS enrolled currently learningspiritual warfare doctrines taught therein
