Arsenal became one of the largest ammunition producers in Texas and became known for their quality munitions products. Their munitions business continued until 1959 when it merged with other companies to form Parker Arms Company Incorporated (PACK). After PARKER ARMES COMPANY INCORPORATED went bankrupt in 1966, many of its assets were sold off to other businesses and individuals, leaving Ammo production behind at what is now known as Midland Armory Museum Incorporated (MAM).

Mercedes is a small town in Denton County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,682 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The community was founded in 1879 by German immigrants as "Mannheim", and changed its name to Mercedes in 1896. The first post office served the community from 1881 to 1886. In 1910, Mercedes had a population of 2,711 people and an agricultural center with hogs, chickens, and cows. A school was built in 1915 and continued serving the town until 1959. A new high school was built in 1977 and serves the present day population of 7,500 students grades 9 through 12th grade. In 1952, Mercedes voters approved a referendum that designated land across FM 1960 from FM 672 to be used for a shopping mall called "Target". The mall opened on November 15th of that year and quickly became one of the most popular shopping destinations in Metroplex history. With more than 1 million square feet (110 hectares), it was then one of the largest enclosed mallsever constructed in North America! The mall closed down on December 31st 2009 after 20 years of operation. On October 3rd 2006 a tornado touched down just east of Lewisville within minutes after touching down near Commerce Road NE & US 183/I-35W (the Mother Lode Highway). Many trees were downed including a large oak near I-35W exit 49A which caused heavy damage particularly to north end streets NE & NW between US 183/I-35W & Lewisville Rd which resulted in numerous power outages for hours afterwards Kenley Rd betweenCommerce RdNE & I-635 also suffered significant damage however no injuries occurred

Mercedes, Texas is a town located in Jack County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It takes its name from Mercedes de Avila y Prado y Pimentel who founded the community in 1876. The town was first settled by Scots-Irish immigrants in the late 1800s and early 1900s. In 1902, the post office was established in the community and became known as "Merritt." The name was changed to "Mercedes" in 1907 after local resident Alice Mercedes donated land for a school and church. The first high school opened in 1925 and eventually became known as "John Farragher High School." In 1951, "Merritt"was renamed to "Mercedes" after Mrs. J.F Garragher of nearby Carthage (now Carthage), who had given $5,000 to establish the town's library system. In 1984, a new elementary school opened called "Alice Lloyd Elementary". That same year saw the opening of a second high school which would later become known as John Farragher High School
In 1865, General Sam Houston purchased the land that would become Mercedes, Texas from the Mexican government. The town was named after his wife Mercedes and grew quickly into a small but important community. In 1872, the first post office was established in Mercedes and soon became an important stop for travelers on the Santa Fe trail. By 1903, when Texans were granted their own state, Mercedes had become one of its largest towns. The population reached 10000 by 1907 and continued to grow until World War II when it fell to 5000 residents. The town slowly began to lose its importance as Highway 6 bypassed it and then Interstate 10 took over most of its traffic. Today, only a few buildings remain from what once was a active community that helped shape modern day Texans
