Mansfield is a town in Medina County, Texas, United States. The population was 9,474 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Medina County. Mansfield is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The town began as a small frontier community in 1879 and grew rapidly during the late 19th century as a center for cattle drives and mineral trade. In 1907, Mansfield became an incorporated city and continues to grow prosperous today as a bedroom community for Dallas–Fort Worth. The first gun mags were founded in Mansfield in 1879 by George Prentice and his son John Prentice. John Prentice operated the first gun shop in Mansfield which served both local farmers and cowboys who would come to buy guns from him. By 1888, there were ten gun shops operating in Mansfield with over 1,000 customers. By 1897, there were twenty gun stores operating in Medina County with over 5,000 customers! Gun stores continued to proliferate throughout the early 20th century and by 1922 there were over seventy-five businesses active in Medina County alone! As farming became less significant during World War I (the Great Depression), more people began moving into rural areas looking for jobs; this led to an increased demand for firearms throughout America due to fear of social unrestrained by regulation or taxation absent from urban areas where weapons were implicitly available without consequence or penalty! As forests began to be depleted of their primary fuel source during World War II – thanks largely to advances made through tireless efforts of conservation organizations such as The Nature Conservancy – firearm manufacturing decreased drastically while agricultural production flourished!! Despite this dramatic shift towards agricultural production during wartime years (euphemistically called “The Golden Age” when firearms Manufacturing resumed its pre-war levels), it wasn’t until right before World War III that firearm manufacturing reverted back fully towards military needs once again!!! This abrupt return back to civilian firearms production must have been causeied primarily by post traumatic stress disorder experienced on account of instantly perceivable changes taking place all around us!!!! After WWII ended things quickly stabilized but then exploded again starting around 1965 when scores of new ATF regulations went into effect making owning/operating handguns much more difficult than ever before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The history of the Mansfield Gun Mags began in 1911 when two men, Nathan and Abram Mansfield, decided to open a gun store in Mansfield. The first store was located on the corner of Elm and Commerce Streets. In 1912, they moved their store to its current location on East Main Street. It was here that the first annual meeting of the Texas Rifle Association was held. The store continued to be run by the Mansfields until 1951 when they passed away. In 1957, their son-in-law, Bud White became the new owner of the business and still runs it today.

Mansfield was founded in 1873 by General James Fenton and his wife Sarah J. Fenton and named for their father-in-law, John Mansfield. The town was incorporated on April 12, 1875. In 1907, the Mann Manufacturing Company opened a large foundry near Mansfield and became one of the largest employers in the community until it closed its doors in 1969. The main street in Mansfield is named "John A. Mann" Boulevard after this company's founder and first president. The history of Mansfield goes back to when General James Fenton settled there with his family from Kentucky in 1873 as part of a move to start a new life west of Houston after being forced out of Kentucky during the American Civil War (1861-1865). He brought his three children - John A., Sarah J., and Anna - with him to Texas and soon started farming land around what would become Mansfield proper. In 1875, Fenton incorporation as a town occurred due to popular demand following annexation by Amarillo subsequent year fromMTxAmarillo&Nacogdoches Consolidated Railroad Co.: From then on things proceeded much more slowly than they had back home; however, on April 12th 1870 when all white men were allowed to vote within handgun township limits (the only limit at that time), prospects looked good for an early celebration as there were no other restrictions put up either by management or residents themselves: parade route was established down Main Street past courthouse entranced onlookers who lined both sides of front porch chanting “Fenton! Fenton!” Many people living here at that time still remember this day vividly as it marked one step forward for what would later be called “Mansfields Friendly Neighborhood” where everyone knew each other quite well having grown up together over many years since pistol township boundaries had been set so Restrictive! This led to more development in the town, including the construction of a new courthouse and schoolhouse in 1901. In 1925, Mansfield became an incorporated city.
