Lumberton is a town in Dallas County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,977 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1881 by men from Lumberton, Scotland as a lumberyard and trading post. The town grew rapidly with the construction of the Lewis-McNaught Pipeline in 1915 and other logging projects. In 1954, Lumberton became an incorporated city. The current mayor is Rick Meinhold (D). The history of gun mags in Lumberton began with John Fenton's Gun Shop on Elm Street in 1881. Fenton established the shop to sell guns to settlers who were moving westward into what is now Dallas County. At that time there were no gun stores anywhere near Lumberton so customers had to go to larger towns for their supplies. In 1916, Lewis-McNaught Pipeline connected Logtown and Beaumont and created an immense demand for rifle ammunition among farmers and ranchers throughout the area. This new market led Fenton to open his own store on Elm Street in 1955 which became known as "The Gun Shop". During World War II, many people living near Dallas County decided they needed firearms because of the vast amounts of ammunition being produced by the US military. Many small businesses sprang up around Texas during this time to supply these needs such as Fenton's Gun Shop which continued operations until 1984 when it closed its doors due to financial troubles associated with the war effort alone. In 1957, Lumberton incorporation happened after much discussion about whether or not it would be a good idea for a city withinDallas County given its growing population along with concerns about crime rates within the town limits (At that time there was only one law enforcement officer per 1,000 residents). With rapid growth came problems related to public transportation (which wasn't particularly reliable back then) and lack of room for expansion outside of downtown which caused many businesses including The Gun Shop to close their doors over night due to lack of business prospects. After many years without any major changes taking place at The GunShop®, Rick Meinhold took over management from his father in 1984 when he became Mayoralty Holder after incumbent Rick Meinhold ran unsuccessfully against incumbent Dick Neuman in November 1987 election cycle.[1] In 1990 Mayor Neuman announced plans[2]to renovate both interior & exterior aspects of original building; however same issues reared their heads again & again resulting ultimately closure/ demolition efforts [3][4][5][6] leading numerous outcry by citizens across social media sites before finally gaining approval from City Council late last year during Extraordinary Session where entire Board met behind closed doors; final vote passed unanimously late last night! [7][8] Homeowner’s Association opposes project citing fears about “unsafe&dangerous” alterations made without community input; however final decision cannot be changed following unanimous vote by City Councilmembers![9] As part OfMayor Neuman’s Policy Agenda For Fiscal Year 2019,[10], approximately $150K has been allocated towards renovation project – bringing total investment commitments forvarious categories currently totaling more than $500K+![11]}

Lumberton's rich history can be traced back to when it was founded as a trading post by John Crain in 1872 with his brother James Crain as co-Owner/ Builder/Agent (later known as Captain). At that time there were no roads through this region so travelers would journey days or weeks long just to reach their destination. For many years lumberjacks did most of the logging themselves using hand saws and adzes on high hillsides close to where they lived or worked. In 1905 Lumberton made history becoming one of the first cities in Medina County when it adopted its first Mayor & City Council after being approved by voters in an election held on November 3 that year.
