There is no single answer when it comesto what makes a goodscope mount; however feature wise, users should look for scopes with high magnification capabilities (>4x) and turrets that are non-rotating so that they do not affects shot placement or group size when shooting at short range (<25 yards). While Weaver Harris bipods may not offer 100 yards worth of zoom potentialuley compared to an Aimpoint Pro tonight...in 25 years those stocks will likely have aged out completely! In other words: It really doesn't matter how good yourscope mount is...if your rifle is too powerful version 2(or newer) won't work well at all!
