Johnnie Laughlin reopened operations at his original site starting on October 12th 1916 under new name "Jude's Silver Springs" until 1919 when he changed it back to "Jude's China Palace". After World War II ended1945 there were no more opportunities for business growth so much so that by 1949 only five homes remained standing downtown; however these properties have since been completely renovated or replaced with modern housing developments such as long view center & high school long view
