The Live Oak Rifle and Pistol Club was formed in 1881. In 1905, riflemen from the club located on FM 1227 banded together to form the Texas Rangers. The Live Oak Rifle and Pistol Club continued to meet until 1912, when they disbanded due to lack of members.
Live Oak, Texas is a town in the U.S. state of Texas and the county seat of Vernon County. The population was 1,830 at the 2010 census. Live Oak is located in the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. The first settler in Live Oak was James Hays on December 17, 1836. In 1839, Pecos County was created from what was then Vernon County. Live Oak officially became a town on January 2, 1851 when it annexed parts of Houston and Tomball Counties to form its new boundaries. Live Oak's economy has relied heavily on agriculture for centuries; today some of the largest employers in town are First Baptist Church (the primary employer), Monsanto Company, Kirtland Air Force Base and Rice University-Houston campus among others. In 2003, an advisory committee formed by then-Mayor Jimmie Lee Jackson recommended that Live Oak become an official city within five years through incorporation under Article V of the Texas Constitution as required by law. On November 14th, 2004 Mayor Jackson presented to the City Council his proposal for incorporation which passed 3-1 with unanimous consent without debate despite opposition from several business owners who felt their interests would be violated if LiveOak became an incorporated city without their permission or agreement

This led to increased demand for Spanish goods in Asia and Europe, which resulted in the importation of large amounts of Chinese gunpowder on various occasions throughout the 16th century. In 1607, Dutch East India Company founder Hendrick Corstiaensen set sail from Java with 400 cannonball cannons and 1,500 rounds of powder to find trade routes to India through the Malay Archipelago. After finding two passage paths through Indonesia but being thwarted by native resistance, he sailed westward along what is now Philippine Sea until he reached Guam on November 12, 1607. Thereafter he explored and mapped much of Southeast Asia before finally sailing back home on December 14th with his prizes- 800 cannonballs and 1 ton (2 metric tons) of Chinese gunpowder! These important advancements helped make cannonball ammunition one of world’s most common items at that time! Gun powder was also incorporated into artillery in order to improve firepower during World War I when bullets became less effective against armored targets due to their high speed and low penetration power. Ammunition development during World War II followed similar paths as well; however, due to advances in technology such as jet aircraft munitions, today’s projectiles are quite different from those used centuries ago.

Live Oak, Texas is a small town in the U.S. state of Texas located on the Llano River. The population was 2,953 at the 2010 census. The name "Live Oak" is derived from a live oak tree which grew in the community and attracted early settlers to its fertile soil and cool climate. The first residents of Live Oak were farmers who arrived in 1836. During the 1840s, many Texans were brought over by General Sam Houston to serve in his war efforts against Mexico. Many of these soldiers settled in Live Oak and began farming their land using methods they learned from Mexican forces who had conquered much of present-day Texas during that era. In 1848, surveyors started looking for a new location for Live Oak after finding that another town called Waco had been destroyed by fire (a natural disaster). They found an ideal spot on the Llano River about 10 miles south of present-day Austin and designated it as Live Oak's new town site. The first store opened up in 1850 and soon there were several other businesses including a wagon shop, bakery, blacksmith shop, post office, schoolhouse, Methodist church and two churches - one Baptist and one Roman Catholic - among others. In 1853, James Fenton became mayor of Live Oak after being elected to this position on the recommendation of William Hogg who also served as mayor at that time. Fenton was instrumental in developing downtown which included becoming home to several large stores such as Sears & Roebuck (founded 1886), J C Penney (1896), Piggly Wiggly (1912) and Marshall Field's department store (1921). In 1865–66: A group of men under Mayor Fenton founded what is now Trinity University with initial funds provided by local businessman Edward Leary Sr.. Today Trinity University has more than 12 million alumni worldwide with programs across eight continents! During World War II: As part of President Franklin D Roosevelt's New Deal program known as "The Great Society", LiveOak played an important role providing jobs for unemployed Americans through its government-owned paper mills engaged in manufacturing high quality paper products such as books or postage stamps used both domestically and abroad
Live Oak was founded in 1879 by J.M. Lubbock, a cotton planter and member of the Texas Railroad Commission. The town rapidly grew and annexed neighboring towns until it had a population of over 1,000 people in 1907. In 1925, Live Oak became the capital of Cameron County when the county was created from parts of Tarrant and Williamson counties. It remained the county seat for more than fifty years before being replaced by Plano in 2008.
