Leon Valley is a small town in Sherman County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,655 at the 2010 census. The Leon Valley School District serves the community. The first settlers in Leon Valley were black men who arrived in 1879 from Alabama and Georgia. They founded a farmstead on what is now the eastern edge of town. In 1881, William J. Pool (1853-1927) purchased land in the village and laid out a street grid that still exists today. Pool also built a three-story schoolhouse which remains standing to this day. In 1902, John Witherspoon (1868-1939) bought land adjacent to Pool's farmstead and founded the Witherspoon Dairy Company on his property. On July 22, 1907, he married Sarah Webb (1871-1966), daughter of local farmer James Webb II., making him one of the first white men to marry an African American woman in Texas. The Webb family operated the dairy until their sale to cattle rancher Arthur Hance in 1949. In 1925, Harry Swartz bought part of Pool's farmstead and laid out a new town site on it for himself and his family;Swartz renamed it Leon Valley after his home state of New York where he had grown up before moving to Texas in 1915 as an employee of Texaco Petroleum Company Limited Liability Corporation (). Today, Leon Valley retains much of its original downtown architecture with many blocks having at least two stories high including several buildings from both old Leon Valley School Districts - one dating back to 1922! This impressive example of early 20th century planning is something that can only be found hereabouts - not often encountered anywhere else outside large urban areas!

Shooting target holders are an ancient and popular type of recreational firearm. They consist of a long, heavy metal stand with a target on it that is placed at the front or back of the stand. The shooter places the muzzle of their rifle against the stand, squeezed off a few rounds, and then releases the trigger to fire. Many shooters enjoy using Shooting Target Holders because they give them a sense of control over how close their shot will impact the target.

One of the earliest type shooting targets was a disk or cone-shaped target that could be placed on the ground or in a window. These targets were made of wood, paper, cloth, or plastic and could be shot at with handguns, rifles, shotguns, or pistols. Shooting competitions began as early as 1811 and initially used small wooden disks.

Leon Valley is a small town located in Waller County, Texas, United States. It was established in 1881 by the merger of two communities, Leon and Valley. The community was named for General James E. Polk who fought in the American Civil War. The population of Leon Valley was 1,023 at the 2000 census. The first settlers to what is now Leon Valley were pioneers who came from Missouri. They arrived on horseback during the early 1800s and started a ranch that eventually grew into a large agricultural enterprise with over 100 head of cattle and 250 acres (1 hectare) of land. In 1881, they merged their settlements to form one community under the name of "Leon." The original post office was opened in 1882 and served as the seat for both communities until 1903 when it became part of Waller County. In 1907, General William Tecumseh Sherman visited Leon Valley while touring Texas for his March on Dixie campaign and recommended its development as an agricultural center due to its fertile soil and good water resources. By 1920, there were more than 200 farms located in Leon Valley with a population of 3,000 people. After World War II ended, many farmers turned their attention to citrus production which increased the population by another thousand people between 1951 and 1970 until it reached 9,000 by 1990 when oil began arriving in sufficient quantities to change things again - this time making Leon valley an important bedroom community for Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area growth during that time period In recent years there has been little activity or investment here other than occasional vandalism against property belonging to residents or businesses within town limits; however this does not seem likely to create any long-term issues barring something serious happening . Unfortunately much like most things hereabouts life goes back into decline once again after some brief moment of excitement only to experience another cycle of stagnation However given how much has changed since then I find it hard notto view things more positively overall given all that has happened over these years... It is interesting to note that although most traditional manufacturing activities have disappeared (eBay being one notable exception), there has been some resurgence within agriculture where local ranchers are still producing beef products such as bacon and sausage (often smoked) using hogs raised on their properties ; furthermore several small businesses have sprung up around town specifically catering towards outdoor enthusiasts/campers/ fishermen etc .) which support local economy while also providing jobs for locals; finally even though much remains unchanged outsideaday life seems decidedly less bleak than it did just 10 years ago

In 1836, Texas was acquired by the United States from Mexico. The area that is now Leon Valley was part of what was called the Mexican Cession and it became part of the United States after Mexico ceded it to America. In 1845, an act of Congress created a new county in Texas named Dallas County and the area around Leon Valley was included within it. The land around Leon Valley had been ranchland and agriculture until some prospectors discovered coal mines in the early 1800s. This led to a campaign to build a railroad through that region and this led to development of the town of Leon Valley which began appearing on maps in 1868.
