Leon Valley is a small town in McLennan County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,482 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The Leon Valley community was founded by Scandinavian immigrants in 1876. The name comes from the Spanish word "leva" meaning "to lead." In 1886, local farmers started to sell eggs and chickens at the local store. The first post office was established in this community in 1888. By 1912, Leon Valley had a school and a grocery store. In 1925, a railroad depot was built on Main Street and it served as the community's primary commercial center until 1999 when Amtrak stopped serving it. Since its establishment, Leon Valley has seen many changes: In 1980 it became an agricultural village with over 50 farms; in 2000 it became a bedroom community for Fort Worth; in 2006 it became part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area; and most recently, through annexation by Arlington Heights (a neighboring suburb), Leon Valley has become one of Arlington Heights' largest communities with nearly 2,000 residents. 2009 marks the centenary of World War I and commemorates several events that took place throughout McLennan County during that time: on September 3rd – A rally attended by leaders of all sectors of society to commemorate victory over Austria-Hungary; on October 5th – The formal opening of Victory Cemetery #1 which lists namesof soldiers who died during WWI.; on November 17th – John F Kennedy assassination anniversary commemoration held at Arlington National Cemetery which included speeches from then Mayor Tom Leppert (D–Dallas) as well as representatives from across county government including District Attorney David Brownell (D–Dallas); on December 6th – Christmas day tradition involves lighting Hannukah candles at Triangle Park located east off US Highway 69 near downtown Dallas.;

Leon Valley is located in the state of Texas and was founded in 1881. It is one of the oldest communities in the state. The community was named after General Leonidas Polk, who fought against Mexican forces during the American Civil War. The community was first established on a tract of land granted to Lucius T. Callaway by President James K. Polk in 1881. Callaway died in 1882, and his wife, Fannie Belle Callaway, took over the grant. She also started what is now known as Leon Valley Ladies’ Home Society which provided social services to women living in the town at that time. The community served as an important stop on the Santa Fe Railroad when it reached Leon Valley from Dallas-Fort Worth. In 1903, local farmers met to form a cooperative society to raise crops and sell goods raised hereabouts. In 1910, Leon Valley had a post office with six mail employees and two storekeepers serving customers from May 1 through September 30th; however, this operation closed due to lack of business opportunity around that time period
Leon Valley is a small northeast Texas town that is located in Bell County. The town was founded in 1867 by immigrants from Hungary and Germany. The first store in Leon Valley was built on the corner of Main and Elm Streets. In 1870, the village of Leon Valley had a population of about fifty people. By 1907, the population of Leon Valley had grown to over one thousand people. In 1925, the town established its own school system and library. The towns post office closed in 1978 but has been reopened as aLenville Historical Museum since 2001.
