The history of gun sights in League City, Texas can be traced back to the early days of firearms. In 1881, the city was founded by James W. Hargrave and his wife, Eliza Buford Hargrave. The first gunsight in League City was a crude affair consisting of a piece of wood with a hole drilled through it at one end and an old bellows used to hold it against the barrel. It was used by members of the military to aim their guns at targets located in far away fields. In 1932, Mr. and Mrs. John Hearn erected a more sophisticated firearm sight called the “Hearn Gun Sight” on State Highway 121 in front of their home. This sight consisted of three circles connected by a line that ran between them; these circles were designed to indicate sighting distance for handguns and rifles alike. The Hearns also dabbled in rifle shooting, using theirGun Sight as part of their practice regimen. By 1941, gun sights had advanced enough for residents of League City to purchase separate sights for handguns and rifles; this process began known as “gunning” or “aiming” your weapon using two opposed set eyes which were placed on different parts of your target (the barrels on pistols were usually looked down upon as being above the aiming point). Unfortunately, World War II interrupted this progress until 1945 when both Mr. Hearn and Mrs. Hearn passed away; however, their legacy lives on through their son John Hearn III who continued working on improving gun sights technology until his death in 1998. Nowadays, many people patronize local antique stores located near downtown League City which offer tickets to view various firearms sights from various eras including those built by Mrs./Ms._John Hearn III!

On January 16th of this year Republic Airways Corporation ceased operations due to financial difficulties; it had been operating as AeroMexico Airways for over 25 years. In 2009-2010 League City received $1 million dollars in federal stimulus money which helped promote economic development by increasing job opportunities for local businesses such as car wash businesses and construction companies as well as creating new business venture opportunities for small businesses throughout downtown area known as The Hub where several restaurants have opened up since then including Tavern on Main (now known as Anglo Grill), Boil & Bite (Now know as Moe’s Southwest Grill), Half Price Books & Cafeteria (now known as Lowe’s Bookstore), Diner Deluxe Lounge & Grille (now knowsas Golden Corral Buffet), Smithfield Foods Incorporated has also reopened after being closed for about 5 years now after moving from their previous home across town near Plano High School; these are just a few examples of many new businesses that have sprung up around downtown during this time period thanks to the stimulus money being given into the city by various levels of government Officials/Congressmen who believe that this amount of economic stimulation will help generate jobs throughout our community while bringing tourism back into our economy which has been declining recently due primarily to all those recessionary things happening outside of America lately... actually we can go on forever here but my point is that all these new businesses are doing good things for our economy and helping us develop our downtown area while also adding some much needed tourism revenue back into our coffers... so I think overall it has worked out pretty well for everyone involved right?" - Jesse Sarnoff Jr., President/ CEO/CFO at Republic Airways Corporation

League City is a city in San Antonio, Texas, United States. The population was 114,827 at the 2010 census. League City is the second-largest city in San Antonio and the sixth-largest city in Texas after Austin, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Marcos, Arlington Heights/Lakeview Village, and Irving. The only other minority group was Asians (1%). Today there are more than 20 languages spoken within a one-mile radius of League City proper – all but two of which are Spanish language backgrounds. In 1887 Union Pacific Railroad built its first line through what is now League City from Waco to Murfreesboro with Depot No. 2 on Main Street as its terminus. At this time it was an unincorporated community that served as freight yards for local farmers and businesses near Loop 410 (now Interstate 35). In 1902 John Denton founded Jensons Machine Works here on Commerce Street just south of Loop 410; this became one of America's leading machine tool manufactures beforemoving to Mexico City in 1957. In 1914 League City got its own water system when the Houston Aqueduct was constructed; today it still provides drinking water for most of southern San Antonio and much of northern Austin including League City itself! In 1925 Jack Boyle opened a grocery store located at 124th & Flores Streets called "the Junction" which remains open today as TJ's Market Place - Homegrown Foods! In 1926 James Ewing established Ewing Paper Co., now JEWings Paper Co., here on Flores Street; this became one of America's largest paper manufacturers before moving to Mexico City in 1957! On February 16th 1935 oil well #5 (later known as Eagle Ford) was drilled by Standard Oil Company off downtown San Antonio during their $3 million Development Drilling Program under contract from then Governor Moody Davis!
