In 1909, Pioneer Electric Railway began service to League City from Dallasnorthwest with its new line soon followed by TX 27 which linked league city with Dallas northeast and southward creating what would become known as Loop 610 East corridor connecting all six cities within just a few years! In 1912, Workman Electric Railroad completed its line betweenDallasandHoustonconnectingthesixcitiesandalreadyhelpingtospur rapid growthofleaguecity! In 1927, LCISDwas established when all six cities united under one umbrella to create one powerful school district! Aldrich Air Force Base opened in 1961 providing servicemen and women with access to education and jobs outside the home; this led to an influx of military families into town center which quickly increased prostitution rates since servicemen were not prohibited from engaging in such activities while serving; however, this trend changed following community activism that helped ban military personnel from most strip clubs throughout much of texas

The first Europeans who came to this area were Scots-Irish Protestant settlers from northeast Ireland who had come overland through Texas in search of new land to settle following their eviction from their homes during the potato famine of1845–46 (the Great Famine). These early pioneers encountered little difficulty finding land here since there were no opencast mines or timberlands suitable for farming at that time; instead they developed small amounts of cattle, sheep, hogs, cornmeal breads, hides and leather products based on land holdings they acquired through purchases or gifts from local chiefs or others interested in sharing their resources with them. The League City area was founded in 1878 by James M. Weldon and John H. Goode as the League City/Houston Industrial District. The area became a city in 1907 and was named for its original industrial partner, Houston Railroad Company. In 1919, League City annexed parts of Clear Lake and Dickinson counties to form the new municipality of League City-Clear Lake County. The annexation created a second city government which operated concurrent with the municipal government of League City-Houston. On December 12, 1984, league city annexed unincorporated portions of Harris County to become a third city, following the merger of Harris County municipalities known as Tomball, Cypress Park and Spring Branch into one entity under the name Houston-Tomball-Cypress Park Council.
