Lake Jackson, Texas is a small town in Hood County, Texas. The population as of the 2010 census was 1,906. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. The first mention of Lake Jackson comes from 1836 when it was called "Cottonwood Creek". Settlement started in the 1840s and by 1860 it had a population of just over 100 people. The town name was changed to Lake Jackson in 1892 after the discovery of oil there. The town experienced significant growth during World War II as new industries sprang up around the production of munitions and other military goods. The post-war period saw some decline, with most residents leaving for jobs in more developed areas during the Great Depression. Since 2000, much development has occurred within and around Lake Jackson including an addition to the city limits, new housing developments, a library/gallery complex and retail businesses. Despite this rapid growth, much remains to be done to maintain infrastructure such as water systems and roads which have suffered from repeated neglect throughout its history.

In 1951, Kodak Corporation purchased RCA's mirror-forward lens patents and began developing their own mirror-forward lens systems under the name "Kodak Camera System." The key innovation of these systems was that they used large exit pupil size lenses which gave them better resolution than earlier mirror-forward systems. These new cameras became very popular in photography due to their high quality photos and low price tags. They continued to be produced until 1995 when they were replaced by digital cameras using CMOS sensor technology

When they arrived at what is now known as Fort Bend County they discovered that there were no suitable locations for them to build their future village becauseOfthe numerous rivers and creeks that surrounded them. So they decided to head northeastward instead where they found a tract of land which they named after themselves-Jackson County. In 1788, a party led by Lieutenant Colonel John Ransom traveling through this area came across an Indian camp located near present day downtown Jacksonville Beach while on their way home from trading missions with Native American groups along the West Coast. Upon seeing this site, Ransom assigned his assistant Captain David Silliman to explore it further and report back on its potential for development into a permanent settlement. Silliman returned with reports that not only did the site have great potential but also that there were ample resources available for such an endeavor should such an effort take off! He recommended that Governor Austin place orders for construction Photographs show us just how much interest there was among both civilian and military officials alike throughout Texas during these early days! After hearing about Silliman’s findings Governor Austin issued orders authorizing Captain Richard Henderson to survey what would become today’s Jonesboro Village – including land around modern day Lake Jackson-and recommend measures necessary for its establishment as a reality! It wasn’t until two years later when Major George Mather set out from Fort Worth on horsebackaddle his measurements throughout much of East Texas before finally reaching what is now Jacksonville proper On July 10thado1789that he confirmed Henderson’s findings! Shortly thereafter several families moved into Jonesboro from surrounding villages seeking out this opportunity and began building homes which still stand today within sight of downtown Jacksonville Beach! At first life here seemed peaceful enough; however shortly thereafter events unfolded which would cause such intense conflict over control over this fledgling community!!
