Lake Jackson is a small body of water located in Ellis County, Texas, United States. It is a reservoir created by the construction of the Lake Jackson Dam and Reservoir on the Neches River. The dam was completed in 1944 and provides water to Ellis and Polk Counties. The reservoir has a surface area of 67 square miles (175 km²). As of 2000, it had an estimated population of 10,517.
