In 1963, it merged with Arlington to form the Arlingtonsboro–Kingsville Community School District (AKCSD). That school district served all of Tarrant County until 2002 when it merged into the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD). The town of Kingsville has two shopping centers: one on I-10 near Interstate 35W and one on Ulysses S. Grant Boulevard near FM 1527. There are also several churches, businesses and other types of dwellings in the town center while smaller communities scattered around it provide essential services such as agriculture or fishing for local residents as well as health care and small-scale manufacturing jobs for those who can't leave their homes.
