Kingsville, Texas is a small town located in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,427 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Midland–Edinburg–Mission (MIM) area. The Kingsville post office was established on November 17, 1859, and remained in operation until it closed on December 26th, 1907. Kingsville was founded by John H. King and his wife Emma on a tract of land that they purchased from the Chisholm Apache tribe in 1856. TheKing family operated a flourmill and blacksmith shop for many years before selling the business to Denton-based rancher J.M. Kerr in 1898. Kerr built a large ranch house which he donated to the community as its first municipal building. In 1912 Mayor James Laughlin designated Kingsville as one of four municipalities within MIM with responsibility for education and social welfare programs under the newly created county government structure. One of Kerr's sons, Roy Laughlin, served as mayor from 1951 to 1957 and again from 1969 to 1975; during this time he also served as chairman of the Kingsville Planning Commission which helped shape early architecturally significant aspects of what would become downtown Kingsville including setting aside blocks for stores and other commercial development on a hill overlooking Main Street between 1911 and 1915; later renamed Highland Park Boulevard after Roy's widow Linda (1924 - 2009), who spearheaded much redevelopment throughout downtown KingsVILLE over several decades including widening MLK Jr.'s Boulevard into an arterial roadway while preserving much historic architecture; her husband also played an instrumental role in developing both Interstate 10 eastward from I-10 near Una into South Padre Island before their death along with most important philanthropy surrounding downtownKingsville Since then various incarnations have taken hold such as Downtown Development Corporation (1995 - present), Green Hills Township Improvement District No 1 (2009 - present), Streetscape Partnership Authority –Community Development Department (2013 - present), etc., but allendevelopmentremains essentially unchanged since Roy Laughlin's departure except possibly some updated signage or renovated historically significant buildings now used by various civic organizations

Kingsville is a small town located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in North Texas. The population was 4,848 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Richardson-Frisco Metropolitan Statistical Area. Kingsville was founded by pioneers in 1867 when they drove out settlers from nearby Pecos County. The first settler, James Haughton, named his new community after George Washington King, an early settler from Georgia who had come to Texas as a cattleman and land speculator. In 1876, John Wesley Powell traveled through Kingsville on his way to explore the Rocky Mountains and he named it for his mentor and friend, General George Custer. In 1902, Kingsville became the site of a major battle between Mexican forces and U.S. cavalry troopers which resulted in a United States victory and $1 million in damages to Mexican property. After that event, Kingsville quickly emerged as one of America's most important cattle towns due to its location near highways connecting ranching areas throughout North Texas with Mexico City and other parts of Mexico. Kingsville experienced many growths during its history including two World Wars (1939-1945) when it became home to more than 20 military installations: RAF Bomber Command's Station Bovingdon; USAAF Base Fort Worth; Central Intelligence Agency's Langley Research Center; Missile Command's White Sands Missile Range; Navy Air Station Corpus Christi; and Army Air Forces' Randolph AFB (now Joint Base Lewis-McChord). Today, Kingsville continues to be an important center for commerce with its own independent school system as well as numerous businesses providing services such as retail stores, restaurants/bars, health care providers, professional services such as architects and engineers, agricultural products dealers/entersprayers/fertilizers etc., making it an ideal place for all sorts of businesses to locate their operations - whether they are large or small business owners who need good access to quality workers or mom-and-pop entrepreneurs who just want someplace to call home
