Kingsville, Texas is located in the Midwestern United States and has a rich history with firearms. The town was founded in 1872 by John P. Kingsbury, who built a station on the Trinity River. In 1903, Kingsville became the headquarters for Colt Firearms Corporation. The company developed a line of pistols called the Colt Python which quickly gained popularity throughout America. In 1960, Colt merged with Browning handgun manufacturer to form Browning-Bill Arms Corporation (BBA). BBA produced handguns such as the Ruger American Legion and Savage Mark II revolvers. In 1978, BBA merged with Glock Inc., creating one of the largest firearms manufacturers in the world. Glock continues to produce handguns and other firearm products in Kingsville today.
