Today there are three grocery stores and several convenience stores located within walking distance of each other as well as several restaurants including Hooters restaurant and Grill which have been popular among locals for more than 50 years now. A large cotton gin served local needs until 1982 when it closed due to economic conditions methanol production becoming available locally which disrupted agricultural production that could have supported demand for ethanol from local farmers However Keller does still produce corn syrup for local use during cold weather months here
