The company became one of the most successful cotton oil companies in America, operations expanding toinclude Refinery No. 2 (now known as Texaco) at Pecos before being sold to Phillips Petroleum Company in 1958 for $5 million dollars. The Keller refinery complex was originally designed by noted Houston architect Alfred Crain and completed in stages between 1951-1957 including an addition to the original structure that included a benzene distillation plant and an ethylene production line which remain extant today as part of ChevronTexaco's Corporate headquarters building located next to Reliant Parklands shopping center across I-35W from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport

Keller, Texas is a town in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,821 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Huntsville–Decatur, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded by Captain James Fenton Keller in 1876 as a small farming community on the banks of the Arkansas River. In 1906 it became an incorporated municipality and in 1912 it merged with nearby Decatur to form the current city of Keller. The first settler in Keller was Capt. James Fenton Keller who arrived there from Missouri on October 2nd 1876 with his family. They built a log cabin and named their new settlement after James Fenton Keller's older brother John who had also settled there earlier that year. In 1906 when Keller merged with Decatur to form the present city it became one of only two towns in Hudspeth County not yet annexed into Austin or Dallas county (the other being Springdale). The first post office was established in 1909 and served as both communities' until 1918 when it was moved to Decatur which then took over its mail service. The first school opened in 1915 and operated until 1918 when it too closed due to lack of enrollment
