Today, Jacksonville continues to be a vibrant community with excellent cultural opportunities throughout its many neighborhoods including DowntownJacksonville; Midtown; Eastside; Heritage Woods; Riverside Park; Corporate Center/The Landing; Parkway Boulevard/Broadwalk Plaza; Oak Ridge Industrial Park/Gateway Shopping Center/Mall of America Complex; Evergreen Place Towers & apartments (formerly known as Gateway Tower); Greater Jackson Business District (GJBD) - anchored by Walmart Supercenter - Interstate 10 & US 95 exit 259 Bldg.; Old North Pointe Elementary School closed in 2001 but remains vacant for use as an industrial park training center for local farmers due to its proximity to nearby Dothan Air Force Base's Luke Air Force Base Airport - home of several major airline companies! It should be noted that while much has changed over time regardingJacksonville's demographics or economy overall- most notably through annexation by other cities- it still retains many of its historic characteristics such as strong agricultural roots dating back to pre-Civil War times that continue to contribute significantly to today's economy.
