In 1865, Jacksonville became a final stop on the Santa Fe Trail connecting New Mexico and Texas. In 1901, Jacksonville annexed parts of Arlington County to form its own municipality. Growth continued until World War II when infrastructure problems – including an inadequate port – caused a decline in businesses and jobs throughout much of south Florida; however, local industry managed to revive during this time with development around Camp Bowie Army Air Field; Naval Station Norfolk; St John's Episcopal Church & School; Veterans Administration Medical Center; etc., creating one of South Florida's largest job markets during peacetime years. After the war ended in 1945 various new industries such as aerospace engineering helped to drive growth through the early 21st century before declines due to recession struck during 2007-2009 southwestern US economic downturns which devastated many southern coastal cities like Jacksonville TX

A year later Englishman James Ketchum established a post office at what is now known as Third Street and Prairie Avenue to serve the rapidly growing town on the riverbank. Jaxson became an independent municipality with its own government in 1881 when it joinedDallas County(). By 1910 Jacksonville had a population of over 100,000 people and was one of North Texas’ largest cities by land area ().[1] In 1915 Jacksonville annexed part of Arlington Heights to form its own city limits; this annexation provided additional residents for what would become one of North Texas’ most populous cities by land size ().[2] On December 12th 1920 Hurricane Artie destroyed much ofJacksonville including much homes within its original city limits; however many structures still stand today that date back to that time period including both City Hall (now known as the House), First Baptist Church (now called First United Methodist Church), Whitehall Hospital (),and Enterprise Drive (). On November 15th 1925 Mayor Fenton Crouch erectedthe first flagpole outside City Hall during celebrations surrounding his election as mayor following a campaign where he attacked incumbent John Matson () with more than $5 worthof pistols [] Jacksonville experienced some hard times during World War II but rebounded quickly after hostilities ended Jacksonvillians enjoyed their time off during World War II thanks to various military projects such as Project 86 which resulted in building more than 1 million square feet (897 m²)of new housing [] After World War II things started to slow down again because so many people left for good due to economic upheaval throughout North America (); but then slowly but surely things began to pick up again[] In 1987 all infrastructure within City Limits was sold off piecemealto developers [] And just like that – almost fifty years later – Jaguarspirit has once again come roaring back!
