In 1865, the town of Horizon City was founded by prospectors led by J.P. Beaumont. The community grew rapidly and soon boasted a population of over 500 people. In 1871, the first Targetshooting Club was formed in Horizon City and quickly became an important part of the local community. The club enjoyed strong support from its members and conducted regular shoots to improve their skills. In 1903, the first state-of-the-art target shooting range was built in Horizon City and quickly became a popular attraction for locals and visitors alike. Over the years, Horizon City has seen many changes which have helped contribute to its current popularity as a target shooting destination. Today, it remains one of the most vibrant communities in Texas for target shooting enthusiasts to call home.

Horizon City is a city in the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan area, located in southeastern Travis County, Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 26,521. The city was founded by farmers in 1872 as a railroad town on the San Jacinto River. It grew rapidly after World War II due to energy production and investments by General Motors and other companies. Horizon City became an incorporated municipality in 1965. The city has experienced economic decline since then, but it remains one of the fastest growing major cities in Texas. In recent years, Horizon City has made progress with its plans to redevelop its downtown and create new jobs and businesses.

This type of target holder was first designed in the early 1800s by French gunsmith Nicolas-Jacques Conte. Target holders were also used in duels as they allowed two people to shoot at the same stationary object. Duels were often decided by who could hit the most targets with their shots. Target holders are still used today and can be found online or at specialty retailers.

Horizon City is a city in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,611 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. Horizon City was founded on October 15, 1879 by pioneers who came from the nearby town of Georgetown. The town was named for John A. Horizon, an American statesman and U.S. Senator from Kentucky who served from 1875 to 1893 and helped develop the railroad industry in central Texas. The first store in Horizon City opened its doors in 1879 and it was considered one of the most important businesses in town because it provided goods and services to local farmers and ranchers as well as people travelling through Central Texas on stagecoaches or wagons carrying produce to market. In 1907, Frontier Airlines Flight 514 crashed into a hill outside of Horizon City after takeoff from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport; all five crew members were killed including Captain Ray Hubbard who had been trying to help with emergency landing instructions for the other pilots on board. In 1915, when Williamson County became part of the new state of Texas, Horizion City became its seat with that year's inaugural General Election taking place on November 3rd.; however due to prior elections being held in neighboring Travis County which did not become part of Texas until January 6th., 1916 (the day before Williamson County), no vote actually took place within what is now called "HorizonCity." It wasn't until 1924 when a new post office was built at what is now known as Main Street that residents could finally start voting regularly within their own community rather than just attend general election meetings held elsewhere in Williamson County where those events would take place once every four years or so. By 1933, there were over 100 businesses located inside what are now downtown sidewalks guarded by police officers 24/7 during regular business hours while also having ample free parking available for customers inside many more buildings open late evenings and weekends thanks to advances in technology such as air conditioning that made life much easier for entrepreneurs like Royce Lord who ran several successful night clubs along side his grocery store from about 1934-1941 which soon became known simply as 'The Lion's Den'. By 1954-1955 when Interstate Highway 10 bypassed downtown making it much more difficult for pedestrians or motorists approaching from eastbound I-10 coming up Main Street between Third Street & Fourth Street heading towards downtown (or vice versa)btn
Horizon City was founded on a ranch in 1881 by John D. Rockefeller and his partners, including George Westinghouse. The city's first store opened in 1885. Horizon City grew rapidly, becoming the largest Texan city by 1910. The 1920s saw a growth in oil production, which led to an increase in job opportunities for the city's residents. However, during the 1930s, the economy crashed and Horizon City experienced poverty and social unrest. In 1936, President Franklin D. Roosevelt ordered the United States military to withdraw from Mexico, which led to increased violence in Horizon City and other Mexican cities. In 1948, after several years of Reconstruction following World War II, Mayor Edwin Biddle approved plans to build a shopping mall near downtown as part of a plan to revive the city's economy. The mall failed to materialize and Hartford Avenue became one of Horizon City's most popular streets during the 1970s and 1980s when its stock prices were high due to its endorsement by then-Governor Bill Richardson
