They took money from the bank and fled across the border into Mexico before being apprehended by local law enforcement officials. At this point, it is unknown if any arrests were made subsequent to this event or if these individuals ever went back into America again. In 1898, another GUN case occurred when two men named Wm Flynn and Geo Ford robbed a store at gunpoint near downtown Horizon City. Again, no arrest was made following this incident however it did serve as an example to other criminals that firearms could be used against them without consequences. In 1934, Mayor Harry White announced plans to build a new city hall in downtown Horizon City. The price tag for the project was $2 million, but the city council decided to spend the money on other projects instead. This set off a series of protests from citizens who felt that their taxes were being used to support an inappropriate project. In 1937, two men wearing masks stabbed three people at a local grocery store. Authorities said that the men had planned to commit suicide by shooting themselves as witnesses came investigation. The suspects were caught within hours and arrested without any weapons or explosives on them. In 1944, four men entered Horizon City with rifles and shotguns and began randomly shooting residents. One man died from his injuries before police arrived; however, all five shooters escaped arrest alive. In 1951, four people armed with automatic firearms robbed a bank in Horizon City. Two of the gunmen killed themselves after taking hostages; however, one gunman was successfully apprehended and charged with capital murder shortly afterwards.

Horizon City is a town in Medina County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,524 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. Horizon City is located on the banks of the Trinity River and its namesake was John Wesley Harding who founded Harding Land & Manufacturing Company in 1875. The first settler in what would become Horizon City was Leland Sweeny who arrived in 1881 from Missouri. He began to farm land and built a cabin on the bank of the Trinity River. In 1902, he made an agreement with his neighbor James Hetzel whereby each man could buy one acre for $5 per year and build a house thereon. When it rained outside their doors, they took turns building rain barrels to collect water from the river which they then used to heat their homes during wintertime. By 1907, over 50 people lived in Horizon City and many more were attracted by Harding's marketing capabilities which included buying products such as flour, soapuds (a type of candy), cigarettes, cheese and eggs from farmers throughout East Texas at low prices. In 1916-1917 two large oil fields were developed near where HorizonCity now stands; these fields are now known as Spangler Field #1 and Spangler Field #2. At this time much of Medina County consisted of rural farms that did not have access to transportation so goods had to be transported long distances or brought in on horseback or wagons which required Riding Fields Committee meetings every week to decide how best to achieve efficient transportation for all members of society including farmers who produced food that needed no transport! After years of effort by President Franklin D Roosevelt's American Recovery Administration (ARRA), both fields became available for production with cash payouts being established through various bonds issued by Governor Ulysses S Grant as part of ARRA's New Deal program! With this new development came better livelihoods for those within HorizonCity; many businesses opened up including restaurants such as Texaco * later renamed ExxonMobil * hospitals like Baylor University Medical Center * schools like North Central High School * finally football players like Temple Owls coach Ralph Ray Hubbard decided to move their team from nearby Irvington into downtown when their original stadium became unavailable! This period during which downtown Horizons grew rapidly can still be seen today with several high end stores and restaurants along Elm Street between Main Street and State Highway 287 while also having easy access to shopping malls located adjacent Interstate 610Loop just east of town center providing residents with even more choices when it comesto shopping options! As retail centers became more popular throughout Metroplex areas things changed again starting around 2000 when VistaVision started construction on a large mall called Westfield Dallas-Denton GatewayCenter only 2 miles north-northeast of downtown Horizons main strip making it easier than ever before for people within Horizons city limits should they desire additional retail opportunities without leaving their own neighborhoods! This change coincided with another major event that took place within our community; Hurricane Katrina destroyed much havoc within our small town causing widespread damage totaling over $40 million dollars!!! Over 750 jobs were lost within our community due mostly because businesses did not have any employees available after Katrina struck!! Despite all these challenges however, despite some tough times we continue progress since then creating jobs through redevelopment projects such as expanding IHOP restaurant into a fullservice dining establishment* (*This project was later cancelled due To financial reasons) . In addition we continue working hard towards becoming one OF THE most sustainable communities IN TEXAS*!"

The other finalists were Amarillo, Austin, Dallas, and Houston. In 1984, Horizon City became a municipality when it merged with neighboring towns of La Junta and Mission Viejo. As a municipality it has power over local government issues such as zoning and budgeting but does not have voting rights within the Bastrop County government which governs all aspects of the town except for police and fire services which are provided by San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) and San Antonio Fire Department (SFD). In December 2009, Mayor Pro Tem Darrell Ligon announced that he would not seek reelection due to health problems; his successor took office on January 3, 2010 The history of Horizon City goes back to 1879 when Dr John Wescott Powell founded the town on Buffalo Bayou near what is now Interstate 35W . At first there were just twelve families living there including Dr Powell himself who had come from Ohio . The original post office was called Enterprise which opened on November 10th 1879 . That same year also saw the first schoolhouses set up in what is now downtown Horizon City with Mrs Sarah Henson teaching grades one through four The early years were tough with no water or electric available so farming consisted mostly of rice , corn , beans & pumpkins until 1903 when some new wells were drilled nearby bringing water flow into town& this allowed for more agriculture followed by housing starting with log cabins until 1914 when brick houses began becoming popular In 1916 they decided to change their name to HorizonCity after winning a federal grant providing funds forUrban Development project across states Between 1915-1920 many businesses moved into downtown as people found out about all this new development going on& finally electricity arrived making life much easier for everyone until 1938 when WWII started making things even harder so most businesses closed down except for two that continued running under different names until 1951 when electric service turned off permanently

Horizon City, Texas was founded in 1879 by George H. Botts and James S. Morrow as the town of Archer Heights. The first post office in Horizon City opened on May 10, 1879. The name change to Horizon City in 1903 was due to the presence of a military garrison at Fort Worth at the time. The city's population reached over 30,000 by 1907 and it passed its initial boundaries set by Act of Congress creating Medina County in 1908 reporter Lloyd Crouse reported that "the present limits of [Horizon] City include all that is bounded eastward by Interstate 635 (now I-35) andwestward by Haskell Road." In 1911, the city annexed portions of Medina County including Lubbock. In 1923, Lubbock became an independent city and merged with Horizon City forming one municipality with a combined population of over 100,000 citizens. In 1945, during World War II, HorizonCity was hit hard by bombings from the Japanese while still under American occupation. Many buildings were destroyed or severely damaged including the old municipal hall which collapsed onto its roof after being bombed again just two months later on November 17th 1945 killing 14 people
