In 1911, William Davenport built Davenport Hotel adjacent to what is now Horizon State University which has been occupied by various students since then including Presidents George W Bush and Bill Clinton both presidential visits being made here while also hosting world-renowned classical music concerts originating from the hotel during those years In 1930, Ray Kapp purchased land east of town along I-10 for what would become Riverbend Airpark which would soon be known as one of America's top airports with regular passenger flights starting from here beginning on May 9th 1959 operated by American Airlines serviced by Boeing 707s/747s becoming known as "The Big O" due to its large size compared to other airports at that time It wasn't until January 1st 1990 when Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced plans for an NFL stadium next door to Riverbend Airpark called AT&T Stadium project helping spur development within town culminating with construction taking place between 1991-1994 resulting in 2 new jobs being created per acre once completed creating over $100 million worth of economic activity within town not to mention numerous house/condominiums/hotels constructed along Interstate 10 throughouttown itself making it easily one of America's most diverse cities with something for everyone On November 3rd 2018 Main Street was renamed Jeff Sessions Boulevard following his confirmation as US Attorney General
