In 1892 It was discovered by John Moses Browning that his original design for a shoulder-fired pistol using a percussion cap cartridge had been successful and he commenced production under the name Browning Automatic Rifle Company.[2] Browning pistols were distributed both through gun dealers and civilian users[3], as well as being exported to many countries around the world. Colt also commenced production of their own shoulder-fired pistols utilizing cartridge cylinders filled with buckshot rounds called "Percussion Cap." These guns were also distributed through gun dealers but enjoyed greater success due to their high rate of fire (closer to 100 rounds per minute than revolvers) combined with their low recoil. During World War II bullets began being produced specifically for use with automatic weapons including machineguns such as the M1917 Enfield sniper rifle which fires an armor piercing round known as "Trench Gun Ball," projectile type 6C4T sabot round used by Lewis Guns on Sherman tanks; incendiary bomb projectiles (incendiary shell or incendiary bomblet) being fired from aircraft using bombsights set inside barrels fitted with sighting devices known as Bofors mountings

Hereford, Texas is a small town located in the southeastern Panhandle of Texas. The population was 2,813 at the 2010 census. Hereford began as an agricultural center and now primarily employs ranch hands, farmers, and construction workers. The town was founded in 1887 by James A. Marshall and his family. Hereford is named for Herefordshire in England. The first settlers to what would become Hereford were Mr. Marshall's children who emigrated from England in 1887 with their parents. The original plat for Hereford was filed on February 5th of that year and was called "Platte Landing." There were no buildings or residents living on the plat when it was filed because development did not occur until much later in the decade when a post office and store were established here. The town started out as a one-room schoolhouse which served students from only a few miles away in Fort Worth proper! It wasn't until 1907 that the first school building was erected; it became known as "Marshall School." In 1911, due to increasing population growth, hard times hit the community hard and results showed with business being very slow there was little money available to build new structures other than two churches which had to be enlarged multiple times over due to increased demand from the burgeoning local community! However things changed around 1930 when Jock Mahoney came into prominence hereabouts as a rancher/oilman! With oil revenues increasing throughout America during this time period he saw potential opportunities all over rural Texoma! He purchased 6 tracts of land north of here including 3 parcels that became known as "Mahoney Ranch" – one of which still stands today (the home of LaPorte County Historical Museum). With some work done by him himself (paving roads & erecting fencing) HEREFORD BEGAN TO GROW ! As more people arrived they brought their families with them and soon HEREFORD BEgan serving as an important stopping place on both mail routes between Fort Worth & Dallas & also becoming primary point for freight trains running through this area hauling goods such as cattle, corn, wheat etc…during these early days OF THE GREAT WEST CHILDREN WERE RAISED IN THIS AREA !! In 1944 HEREFORD ALSO Became A TEXAS STATE PARK WHEN IT WAS CONVINced BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES THAT THIS PLACE MUST BE PROTECTED FROM ENEMY VIEWS !!
The town of Hereford, Texas was founded in 1892 by James H. Ball and his wife, Esther. The town grew rapidly due to the rise in cattle ranching and farming activities in the area. In 1907, Hereford became a city and retains its current name today.
