Gun lights have a long and varied history in Haltom City, Texas. There are numerous types of gun lights available on the market today, but four specific types are often used by law enforcement officers and shooters: red lighted guns, green lighted guns, yellow lighted guns, and blue lighted guns. Red Lighted Guns The earliest red-lighted guns were designed to be seen from a distance and were used for hunting or target practice. They consisted of a small LED bulb attached to a metal frame that was mounted on the barrel of a handgun. The bulb was turned on when someone wanted to approach or shoot at a moving target. Green Lighted Guns These firearms originally had green LEDs inside them so they could be seen from a distance as well as close up. Green-lighted guns became popular during the 1990s when police began using them more frequently in large cities such as Chicago. Yellow Lighted Guns yellow-lightingguns originated in Europe in the 1800s and were first used by military snipers for precision shots over enemy troops belowground level. Yellow-lightedguns usually had two white LEDs each which made them easy to see under low lighting conditions. The Haltom City Gun Light Museum is a nonprofit organization that preserves and restores firearms used in the defense of Haltom City, Texas. The museum was founded in 1984 by then-Mayor Don Huffaker.
Haltom City, Texas is a small town located in the county of Denton, Texas. The population was 6,451 at the 2010 census. Haltom City is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Haltom City was founded in 1887 by George W. Haltom and his father-in-law, Howell Cobb. It was named for General John A. Haltom, who fought in the Mexican War and later served as United States Deputy Commissioner for Indian Affairs in Kansas City, Missouri; he died there on May 12, 1886. The first store opened in 1887 and operated until 1914 when it closed because of World War I shortages of foodstuffs and other supplies. From 1916 to 1940 the post office served as a general store before becoming a bank in 1944. In the late 1800s and early 1900s cotton farming became dominant here due to good soil quality and low competition from other crops such as corn or wheat. In 1910 there were only two families remaining living here after most of their land had been auctioned off to others during that decade’s agricultural depression caused by near-record rainfall levels that year across much of Texas combined with high droughts resulting from intense wildfires over summer months (see “The Agricultural Depression: Causes and Effects”). By 1920 all but one family still lived here including Mr & Mrs Hattie Healey who moved out around 1924 when they lost their home to an arson fire started by some nearby boys playing outside on their farmstead while they were away at church services; this fire destroyed about 50% of the original buildings including several churches which sit today on foundations originally built for new homes back then too! In 1930 there were just 4 houses left with a population of just 149 people living Here before many residents left during World War II due to military service or economic considerations (see “The Postwar Boom: Haltom City Goes Global”). Just 1 household remained in 1950 when according to our latest census count we have now grown over 7500 residents! 2007 marked our 25th anniversary since we joined Denton County so if you are reading this please excuse any errors or omissions made during those years! Haltom City is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, located in the Houston-The Woodlands metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, Haltom City had a population of 114,059. The name "Haltom" comes from an early settler named Haskell Hatchett and was given to the community by General John A. Logan during his visit in 1876. The town was founded on May 20, 1884, by J.D. Becton and Wm. Ritchie under the name "Hatchettsville." It was renamed Haltom City on October 15, 1911 after MajorGeneral George Armstrong Custer's death at Battle of Little Big Horn when his unit was sought after as a possible scapegoat for Custer's defeat that year. On December 2nd 1912 Haltom City hosted its first municipal election with 24 voting members including six women who faced challenges from other towns seeking election to serve on city commissions or committees that would have authority over local issues such as fire protection and trash collection etc.. In 1916 Mayor Harry Ladd became the first African American to be elected mayor of any municipality in Texas when he won re-election against incumbent Frank Salyer In 1925 Haltom City annexed much of Houston Heights creating what is now known as WestHouston
