Over time, grants were sold off and renamed but overall it remains an interesting story about how a small community got started in what is now Midland County – something that still happens today as people move into or leave this growing metropolis every day! Today's downtown area –once only populated by Grant's descendants – features several restaurants, two banks and three churches as well as some large commercial buildings such as Ford's plant from 1912-Present. Downtown Groves also includes a nice mix of architecture from various eras ranging from Richardsonian Romanesque to late 19th century Beaux Arts structures which can be seen throughout much of downtown should you want to take your time walking around!
