After World War II, growth slowed somewhat as new suburbs were developed around major highways such as I-10 and Interstate 10 Loop 610 west of town. However, job growth has recently resumed with expansions at Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Tyson Foods - now known as Walmart - along with new housing developments like Old Town Greenvill
