The term “jag” is derived from the fact that these stocks could be easily replaced with any other type of barrel if needed[4]. By 1888, many other businesses had started manufacturing similar products as Jablon Rifle Barrels because demand was high for these new types of rifles[5]. However, one company that would continueproducing jag stockings until at least 1907 was Centennial Arsenal Company[6], which manufactured rifles primarily for law enforcement agencies across America[7]. Other companies such as Colt Firearms Manufacturing Company also produced jag stocks during this time period,[8] but Centennial Arsenal Company is considered to be the first true manufacturer of jag stocks specifically for shooting rounds out a window.[9] In 1898, Centennial Arsenal Company became part of Smith & Wesson Corporation after being bought by that company following its merger into National Repeating Arms Corporation (NRA). NRA would then become known as American Armory Corporation (AAC) after merging with Browning & Co., Incorporated (B&C) in 1940[10]. AAC eventually turned into Taurus Firearms Corporation (TFC) after buying out American Armory Corp.'s assets in 1984.[11] As mentioned earlier though,Centennial Arsenal Company is still considered to be one of the first manufacturersofgunbarrelsinamericabecauseitproducedthejagsuchasJohnJablonkinsonanddevelopedthewireshockstockcalledjagstockingsforRifles(1886).[12],[13],[14],[15],[16],[17],[18]}

By 1918, however, the population had decreased because of World War I and an associated increase in immigration from Mexico and other countries. In 1922-1923, real estate developer Harry Weyer developed Glen Oaks subdivision which became one of Arlington's most popular areas for home ownership after becoming available when Interstate 20 bypassed Arlington (then known as Dallas County). In 1949-1950 when Route 66 crossed through Arlington from Dallas to Fort Worth via Old Gregg Road (now Loop 820), some residents decided they would like their own town square so they moved from their homes on Gregg Road into new brick houses on Wilson Boulevard across from US 6/I-20/ARLINGTON Hwy 64 interchange - this became known as "The Square." It was during this time that Community Development District No 1 was organized with three goals: To provide education opportunities for citizens; To improve public services such as water Supply and Sewerage; And To beautify roadway arteries leading into or intersecting with The Square

In 1840, the town passed to the hands of Judge Emory Chilton. It was only until 1845 when it became part of the Mexican War territory. The town grew rapidly during this time and soon reached its peak with a population of 1,500 people. However, by 1850 the population had shrunk to 400 people due to violence and disease brought over from Mexico. After Mexican independence was confirmed in 1853, most of the residents of Glenn Heights moved to San Antonio.
