At that time, there were only a few businesses around town that sold firearms. The Nixon brothers located their magazine at 11th and Elm Streets in what is now the old Masonic Temple building. In 1869, John Waddell became president of the Republican National Committee and began buying rifles from local dealers throughout Texas. He decided to start his own rifle magazine as a way to provide an outlet for his products. On October 15th of that year, Waddell’s Rifle and Pistol Magazine opened its doors for business at 6500 Saginaw Street in downtown Georgetown. It was one of the most successful gun magazines in history with over 2,000 issues published between 1869 and 1901. The Second World War brought many changes to the world of firearms. Gun magazines became an important part of military training because they allowed soldiers to keep their equipment safe while they were on deployment or fighting overseas. In 1951, Congress passed the Gun Control Act which required all commercial sales of handguns be done through licensed dealers instead of online or street sales like it had been before. The university has since extended its reach into all corners of North Texas through numerous partnerships and acquisitions including Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (now Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) in Arlington; Presbyterian Medical Center in Dallas; Rice University in Houston; SMUaggregates@gmail dot com – now known as Rice Kellogg Institute – ; UT Southwestern Medical Center inDallas; TCU Health Sciences Campus; Saint Elizabeths Hospitality School ; Incarnate Word Parish (Houston) The early years were difficult for Georgetown due to Lubbock's traditional opposition to new immigrant settlements within their city limits however over time this changed as businesses grew around local Native American hunting trips available year-round that drew visitors from surrounding counties such as Nacogdoches, San Antonio and Odessa From 1850 until 1910 there were no schools open after 10pm due to lack of space however starting with 1912 Tulsaopened up school after hours It should be noted that these are only some examples not all schools opened after 10pm then closed
