Today's Baylor University School of Medicine occupies much of that original land including two main buildings: Main Library and McLane Hall on West Third Street between Walnut and Elm Streets. In 1907-08, Georgetown played host to the world's largest intercollegiate basketball game when it hosted then-President Grover Cleveland's private football game at Robertson Stadium against Transylvania University (now known as Roman Catholic Carleton College). The event drew more than 26000 people to watch games from all over the United States and Canada with many notable players including future Ulysses S Grant and Woodrow Wilson among those in attendance. It also hosted both regional championships for baseball (the District 10 semi final) and softball (the District 7 final), both matches being contested at nearby Waco Park as well as other local events over the years like rodeoitation contests held each year during SXSW weekender precursor to SXSW itself . During World War II there was significant activity taking place at Georgetown due to military training activities conducted by US Army Air Forces Technical Services Command Headquarters where some 500 civilians were employed while others created airfields specifically for use by bomber pilots; these include present day Fort Worth Air National Guard Base which houses an exhibit about this history on one wall of Wingate Hall across from Main Library
